A new genus has just been released!
Say hello to the Miokit! This is a rare prehistoric pet that can only be obtained through the Fossil Collection feature. If you successfully fetch a fossil, there will be a small chance that you stumble upon the custom maker for this pet, the Prehistoric Portal. Statistically, if you max out your fossil collection activities each day, you should get one roughly every ten days.
Interested in seeing additional bases for the Prehistoric Portal? That's where you come in! There are four other pets waiting to come through the portal, but they require your effort first before they show up.
When the players submit 100 Edited Miokit Bases to the Edit Repository, then the next base -- a velociraptor -- will be available for the custom maker. Are you up for contributing and getting that raptor out in time for the new Jurassic Park movie?

(PS: Some of you were able to obtain the custom making item while I was coding it and it was at a 100% drop rate. Those have been removed for obvious reasons.)

the items to make them are in the item database. just be patient, and the event will come out.

"As you head out, you notice something unusual forming in the rocks outside the museum. You pick it up and head on your way."...It was a Prehistoric Portal. I've been Fossilizing since this posted and without maxing out any day, so it IS possible to do it in alot less time than every ten days.
