This round of Teos has something different from the previous two! In this round, you can participate in an auction for a "PSD Use" of your favorite line set. That way, if you missed out on a certain Teo set, you can give another shot at getting one!
Teo PSD Use Auctions!
The auctions are based on a tier system, where your auction reward increases based on the final bid:
$5 - $99 -- PSD Use of Teo. Send an admin the colored image and it will be uploaded over your "blank Teo."
$100 - $149 -- Comes with MDT Your Teo will come with an MDT so you can commission one of our MDT artists to color it.
$150 - $199 -- Skilled Teo! Your Teo will come with all Hidden Item adventure skills as well as the Lockpick skill.
$200 - $249 -- Breeding Pair! You will get two Skilled Teos of the base you won, and two MDTs. Great for bidding with a friend!
$250+ -- Breeding Upgrade! You will get two Skilled Teos of the base you won, two MDTs, and a Rare PMBC Pack. Great for bidding with a friend!
Note that these auctions DO NOT count toward Bonus Credit!
These auctions end in seven days, so have fun and enjoy them! Be nice and don't hurt each other over the Teos! ;)
And thank you for voting for us in the Chase grant contest! Keep voting -- there's no harm in having more than the minimum number of votes to qualify!
We have a very, very big change planned for June and we had hoped that this sale will help provide some "financial padding" for the change... we think you're going to like it, as it's been asked for for a while! Please purchase what you can so we can confidently give it a shot!
TO CLARIFY- These auctions are NOT to drive the new change. These auctions are intended to raise the $17,000 promised to the Teo artists if their sets sold on the first day (170 sets x $100 bonus). Because most people spent bonus credit saved up over months on the Teos instead of spending USD in the sale to get them, we are now severely in the hole again and will not be able to pay people anymore (programmers, artists, server, etc) if we cannot make this money to pay the artists. It was an oversight with the implementation bonus credit and will be rectified if we survive this mistake.

Offering for GP devalues that too and since most of the highly desired set OOAKs AB'd for 300 GP or more, that would be likely to cause a lot of inflation. Furthermore, GP put into the system ends up in USD payout in breedings/SCC/GCC designs for contract artists meaning that although it looks like an initially good idea, money is still potentially outputted.

If this doesn't work, why not do another USD pet auction?
People can donate pets to help the site, Nine is sure there are heaps of players who'd be more than happy to donate a few pets.

I would be willing to put a few of my own in if we do another pet auction! Comically if it help the site I could even put a teo or 2 I got in there since thouse would hopefully pull in some money. Maybe have a 2 or 3 day window for people to input PREMADE pets (to ensure rare pets like Xaoc stay rare).
As for the comment of not making teos for a while that may backfire as part of this is probably because how long the last teo sale was and all the mystery boxs and then the USD auction. people had a long time to save credit. More common smaller teo sales may be a good way to prevent such a swarm in the future. Make people want to spend their credits not hoard insane amounts.
Maybe even have a species made ONLY for usd credit that's always available for like 250 credit. Sort of like Xaoc rarity someting super special that will make people want to part with their credit when they start compiling large amounts of it.

I...I just...
I'm done. This event has done nothing but get my hopes up of finally getting a Teo Id love to own;
Only for that to have been a facade as nearly all Teos vanished in a single day.
Then this auction - a glimmer; a shred of hope that I could at least buy the lines of the one teo I wanted most.... again destroyed by jumping from my bid to $200 over night.
And now there's even the possibilitie the $60 credit ive saved up and built for nearly a year... is going to just expire if I dont use it??
I am near tears right now due to frustration and loss.
I am not financial sound; I have debt im trying slowly take care of; I work two jobs; I have a house in the middle of renovations that make my house a mess... and when I have what little money I can spare
I use it here. I buy what I can when I can. Its not often and its not a ton; but I always feel good about my purchases and i get excited when i can make them. I buy the things I want to use; I dont have enough to buy something outright and turn a profit for it... (i bought an engagement ring but im saving saving use it; even though I could get a lot for it if I traded it)
So the credit, to me, is like a god send - saying thank you for your contribution; here's something to help you out later.
I just... I dont know. Im just gonna go finish my jewel pet before I lose my chance this month. First time buying the jewel crystal and I dont want it to go to waste.

Sorry about the price jump Since I'm one of the ones who jumped some of the teo prices. Some of the 200 bids will probably be 2 different people going halfsies so both can get a pet on the lines. Least that's what I'm doing on the 2 I'm bidding that much on.
And with bids going to 200 hopefully that means more on thouse linesets willing and able to be bred so more can have the lines without needing to spend usd. They may not be first gen but its still something to hope for?

Please don't get rid or delete the Bonus Credit!!! Just change it! Make items cost more and give out less credit for purchasing USD. Don't put a expiration on the credits!(I save to buy some gp right now because of the credits... I don't think I would buy that much if I knew the credits would expire.) Or I do like the item of having a bonus credit species something that can only be bought through the credit system.
So basically reform the credit system don't delete it!

The ability to "opt out" of receiving the $100 set bonus would be beneficial. There are several artists whom I'm sure wouldn't mind giving up their bonus for the sake of the site if they so choose. -R

I don't have a lot of extra $ to put in to the site - usually it's smaller amounts that I really shouldn't be spending either, but I did have enough to get a teo with the bonus credit and ONLY because of the bonus credit - I put in a little extra when I could to plan for the teo purchase that was advertised well in advance of the sale.
If the bonus credit goes away or you make it harder by making things more expensive or rarer, I won't be able to participate. At all.
And that's a shame because the site should be something for everyone with opportunities like this.
I was considering saving up for a Black Friday purchase with a bonus credit in mind. I understand that those purchases are to benefit the site, but there's only so much I can contribute and I need to make it worthwhile for what I will be giving up IRL also.
Unless ofcourse I win the lottery!!! :D

I'm personally more fond of the idea of making the bonus credit spendable more often, as opposed to makin it expire (ugh, that's just gross). Ironically, it might be a good idea to halt teo sales for a while. Although, has it been offered to any of the artists to take GP instead of the bonus (not that it is ideal or anything like that, and I'm sure the biggest sellers wouldn't but...)
