Yes. I totally agree. I wish there had been a cap. Actually; I wish there had been a temporary block on all accounts that had gotten Teos from the last event; kind of like how the weekly art
contest is set up. Then everyone who hasn't been able to get a teo would get a chance
Even at the $25 tier.

There truly would have been a bunch left over then.

Whoops~ Late fix is late but I meant painted lbc talisman, not pendant. Idk if a painted lbc pendant even exists, but either way, I don't have a pendant to my name xD (it was late. give me a break ;p )

On another note, I think a limit would have been a good idea. Like 4 or something like that. A big number but not like 6+ or something crazy like that. It is not like people actually paid for the Teos. They are essentially freebies. People got the stuff they paid for - the Items. So a sense of entitlement should be null and void. Thus, a cap would be a valid thing to do and if people get upset, they just need to be reminded that Teos are freebies and should not be seen as something purchased (This should also stop people complaining about not having the funds to buy TEOS as that is not where the hypothetical funds would go towards, in a technical sense at least). Credit could easily not be a thing. It is a gift - a privilege of sorts. So even with a cap, just getting the capped amount should be good enough. I did say 4 would maybe be fair as a cap and that is quite a lot. Buying 400 dollars worth of stuff over a period of 6 months even is not something a lot of people could do, so I think that cap would reward people who are capable of pouring money into the site well enough? idk.

This would also discourage the selling of eggs people could and maybe did make a hefty profit from selling something they, again, essentially got for free. And it seems unfair to me that people whom spent 50-even some 100 dollar people might not get Teo or a Teo they are completely happy with while someone who hasn't dropped a dime to the site could possibly get one through someone else.

Or there are friends getting Teo for friends. Being nice to friends isn't a sin.. I'm just saying.. IDK.. The reasons for a cap just stack up.

Though, this doesn't mean people should be capped from the other bonuses. They can still get the other stuff besides the capped amount of Teos or save their leftover credit for next event... There are sometimes bonus credit stuff between the Teo events.. like with when transitional fossil eggs were released... or whatever those Emaia (sp?) eggs were called XD

Tequila Mockingbird (#64472) Agreed, I mean I would not have made the purchases I did if I hadn't been trying to get credit for the event to get an egg and kicking myself now for not waiting, as everything I got was on sale today... didn't know the whole shop would be on sale, thought it was just gp... so I spent a little more than I should... I mean I can just hold onto the credit until Black Friday but it is really disappointing to have been hoping to get one and then to see that dream go up in smoke basically.

well my bonus (not even 100) wasnt because I wanted a MayDay egg so badly so it's not like I am totally mad...
But 800 eggs in not even 24 hours is jusr ridiculous, seriously...I am happy for those who got 6+ Teos but not giving others the chance to get at least one is really not nice.
I would have used my bonus tomorrow as well to bget an eggs but it looks like they won't stay until tomorrow and that's what's unfair in my eyes.
I am not talking about wether or not you should buy stuff ONLY for the bonus eggs but not even considering if OTHER people might want get a chance to get an egg is egoistic and mean :/

That's just how it works though. People see 3 or 5 or 8 they can't live without, then they buy them. They made the adequate preparations, had enough money and were online at the right time and prepared to click for their teos. It's something some people miss sleep over; they've just got a bit more invested in the site. Slash makes money on the things purchased on the site, and someone spending $100 on site materials for one teo (which was likely commissioned from these artists for quite a sum, considering they are all considered desirable artists; however, I'm not 100% sure how it works) and perhaps getting $40 after paying the artist and paying other artists for the other items (eg. breeding items) is more favourable than perhaps getting no profit at the $25 tier.

While I'm no fan of these events, some users are nice enough to pop their teos up for cheap/free breeding, and honestly, Slash doesn't need to drop the price to sell these. They would sell eventually at $100 as those that wanted teos but didn't have money at the time saved up.

Stick around awhile, last time Slash added more to the pot even after the first day had passed to give others a chance at the other tiers. He's chosen not to comment so he may not but hey, it's worth a shot! Heck, there are still a few teos left that I would love, I'm just hoping to see the eggs go down enough in the shop search that I can pick them up before someone else does :) There may not be a teo left that you love, but treating them as though they aren't there at all is a bit disappointing to hear both to the artists that made them and the users that want them. ^-^''

Also.. it really isn't something people are getting for free. Most people are spending money specifically for these eggs. I honestly doubt that pricing the egg alone at 50-100$ would stop people from buying them.

Note: this is really long. If one doesn't want to read it. Don't. I'm not at anyone's side with a bowie knife pointed at their neck saying 'read this here comment or else feel the cold something (point? sharpness? idk )) of my blade" or whatever. Just really want to make my two cents clear as can be.. and I feel some of my points were misconstrued in a following post...

I really don't want to start an argument. But claiming people are more invested in a site (financially invested is a given though) just because they have the financial means to dump hundreds if not thousands into a site is borderline offensive. Just because some is of meager financial standing or because they are responsible and budget and/or sleep if they need too (work/school) does NOT equate to being lest invested. Staying up late yet having work or especially school is not something that should be condoned. It is irresponsible.

Also, remember a recent incident. That had to do with someone spending irrationally and it got way out of control... So I wouldn't doubt people spend money on stuff even when they shouldn't. So not even everyone who profited well from this were well endowed financially... They also could be guest artists who dumped their USD earning back into the site too... That would make them more of a nuetral but whatever.. My point is... Someone can be a very dedicated and invested player in at least a time-wise and emotional way and just not a financial way - not because they don't want too but they know they can't or shouldn't....

Logic in regards to people spending more are there fore more invests and should be rewarded for such is like saying IRL the rich should get free stuff because they obviously care more about the economy and poor people just don't matter as much anyways... They know well they will get neat gifts if they spend money on the economy so oh well it is on them that they didn't...

That is nuts. I know that example was vague-ish and this is just an Internet game but I am trying to get my point across in a very straightforward way as I'm really bad with words lol.

And the Teos are free! They are through credit. Credit that is gifted by the site' s good graces. So that is very nice of the site and I respect it and appreciate it... But I feel people treat the credit like a god-given right and with feelings of entitlement to all the neat stuff they can get when the time comes without a single thought to the fact that credit could very easily not be a thing. People are getting items that *should* be good enough as that is technically what the actual money went towards.

The Teos are not getting funded for at all in regards to USD sales... They are a money sink for the site.. The point of this money sink is as far as I can think, to show appreciation to the community for helping the site come along and keep it going... The Teos are a /gift/... and to be like.. if people want to take 8 gifts even though that means that a bunch of people who would have gotten gifts but now can't because they were all taken (I'm not sure if they are all gone mind you. I just assumed that because people said that...), that is kinda abusing the fact it is a gift.. similar to an action of sharing. also full of caring. And that maybe people should really think of others before grabbing all they can possibly grab...

That being said , I'm not really calling people selfish per se.. because I don't think people actively tried to make it so others can't get said "gifts", but they acted because Teo s are Teos and getting some are exciting and the auto-thinking in a stir of excitement and an unleashing of the bulls sort of setting is grab as many as you can.. because you can.. That is a natural response. And this is why I suggested a possibly cap of ~4 Teos next time around. That is enough money sink per person yeah? And some people are not able to donate 100 dollars or whatever so they won't even be able to take advantage of the full four... Yes people who rely on buying eggs in shops for GP or BP will be disappointing... but the gifts were probably not intended to be for people to get through a third party... and the Teo were probably comissioned in USD for the most part so it is best that USD is what is spent to get the gifts.. as to help pay for them!

I think in the end the Teos will be spread out more, actually, and more people will be happy.. If the Teo stock actually did last more than 4 days, then think what the next tier would be 20 dollar? 15 dollar? 10? 5 even? So many more people could join in the action then no?

If people really want to buy Teos.. Idk..Maybe a USD item for special Teo bases (metal designs only in the end) should be added... Like maybe one or two monthly designs. People can still spend money and get relatively special Teos.. adding a 5 dollar metal design ticket to this item might help as well.. Through this.. and when artist's sell unique teos (I don't know how the hell this works), people won't stop pouring money into the site.. There is also other credit events. Its not /only/ Teos... USD items are also a great way to make GP if you can... you can get probably twice as much GP selling USD items rather than just staight up buying GP... You just have a to patient.. and of course it is best to check the going rate in shops of an item before purchasing it as some items do indeed go for less than others and less than 2x GP per dollar spent...

and that is my case. I'm done. I'm not arguing any further. Respond if you want. Don't respond if you don't want to. I couldn't care less. I just really did not like the gist of what you are saying...

Especially as I do have a lot of respect for the site and I appreciate the gestures of the credit. I just am trying to be more practical and look at the credit for what it is - a gift. And I don't see how I'm show little faith in the site when that was not what I was hinting at - It is the people... and I think the site can do more of what it aims to with a little adjustment as well. You can never make everyone happy. But I think it is the majority that should mainly be happy. Maybe my math is offer and more people are happy with the way it is. But this happening just robbed me the wrong way. And I say this loving my two Teos that I got. And I wasn't around in the beginning! It was really incredibly ridiculous how much a difference a half an hour made. Luckily I liked a vast majority of the Teos so finds ones I found suitable to my "Teo Needs" went just fine. And I agree it is not a nice thing to talk like there are no Teos left during moments when there are. It is rude to the artist's.. it also tricked me at least into thinking the Teos were all gone when they were not x_X
