Rusted Breeding Coin

Items

A new Breeding Coin has appeared - the Rusted Breeding Coin!

This breeding coin will allow you to breed a Trash Shop hybrid. The result will always be a single metal (no edits) hybrid.

Crystelid | Stellata | Oculi

Some new hybrids have sprouted out of the Trash Dump! Crystelid (Itoa x Corra), Stellata (Chorlu x Opterix), and the Oculi (Garu x Serafex). These hybrids can be bred using the Rusted Breeding Coin to get one metal baby, or you can use a Breeding Coin to get a normal edited baby (or babies).

Rusted Breeding Coins stock in the Trash for Treasure shop for 250,000 Trash Points.

Interested in being a metal colorist for the Rusted Breeding Coin? Head on over to this Job Thread to inquire about the position.

Wow I'm only about 1/2 way up to it. x3 Is it okay to use edited pets even though we'll get a metal one back?

It might also help streamline the process. If they are already on a team (MDT fitting best since colours + markings but no edits (but then it could be argued PMBC should be equally as valued), they have probably been reliable in the past. Or a tax thing? I hadn't known about the RBC metal babies before, so I guess that sort of throws my theory. >.<; I'm sure there's a reason I'm just not smart enough to figure out.

justi (#54807) Like, you can't add any new patterns and colours to the baby, just redraw those on the parents. That's what RBC artists do.

My next guess would be queue size, then. I know that MDT artists can run into issue running out of tickets to claim, and there are over 500 RBC in the queue right now. Perhaps it would get a bit hectic and stressful for artists trying to juggle both? They would be a decent fit for how the coin works, though. I sort of wish there wasn't a preference either way, personally, that way more people who have yet to make it on to a team would have an equal chance.

Just my take on it but it's possible the reason MDT artists are preferred is because it will likely be a low-queue coin and pays the same as MDT, given that MDT queues are also rather low, it helps keep the same people occupied with two similar jobs. Also while RBC is used to doing the same, the RBC team is not run by the same admin, nor is it a USD job. Therefore it makes more sense to 'reuse' the assets of the already-USD-team on MDT for this coin.
