Site Update

Pet Profiles now have the option to "Like" them. This puts the pet in your personal "Like" folder, which you can access from Account Settings - Liked Pets.

Once you "Like" a pet, it's placed into the unsorted folder. On the Liked Pets page, you can make new folders and drag and drop pets into the folders depending on how you want to label them. Maybe you want a folder full of pets you like looking at, and a folder full of pets you've bred with that you want to keep tabs on. It's up to you!

On the Account Settings page you can choose to disable Like notifications if you don't particularly care if another user likes your pets.

Personally I really dislike this feature, as there is no way to opt out of it - just opting out of "seeing" it which isn't the same thing. However, as others seem to enjoy it I'm glad to see something added that people enjoy.

I am also not overly thrilled by this, as I can't opt out. Some of my pets are personal, and I absolutely do not like the idea of people collecting them.

99% of them like ok, but come across a few who give me error messages :(

To those complaining about this feature - how is this different then bookmarking favorites to view later? I did that all the time too - this is just so much easier and better. I love it!

Meh. I love the bookmarking aspect of this, don't get me wrong. That part is great.

But whenever there is "likes" and a numerical value to it, it always ends in a popularity contest and I could do without that. I'd much have preferred a bookmarking system rather than a like system.

Oh, well.

Aw that's a cute idea!!
Perfect for people who love a pet but are too shy/unsure for a written comment! :D

I echo Wraith Queen Shasha's comment. I don't mind the feature, but I do mind the publicly viewable "like" counter on pets' profiles. ಠ_ಠ Why does anyone else besides the owner need to know who liked a pet or how many people liked it? If there needs to be a list anywhere, put it somewhere private where only the owner can see it, preferably off the pet's profile.
