Congratulations! You did it!
1,770,000,000 BP Sunk in 6 HOURS!
You unlocked all the BP Sink tiers and now have access to all the bases available for the Mineral Crystal! The new bonus SCC bases will be added to the Knowledge Base when the article is updated sometime tomorrow.
In the meantime, enjoy the bases that were unlocked and have fun coloring them! And hopefully this event has helped drain a lot of the BP out of the economy and stabilized some of the prices.
The Mineral Crystal has been put into the BP Shop for a slightly higher price. You may buy this item until April 1, in which it will be removed. The custom maker can be used indefinitely.

Well that's certainly not fair to the people who weren't able to participate because of sleep or work. :/
Or you know, the news post could have also actually said it was closing once the goal was reached.

1. I agree that the event should have had a set time frame for folks that have life. I am lucky in that my work situation presently means I could play while I was at work to some degree (on lunch, etc). But not everyone is that lucky, and school and sleep are kind of important.
2. I think everyone whining about putting in XYZ but not being the 3 million needs to stop. It's called a SINK event. The idea is to gobble up as much of the currency as possible. If you were really concerned, you should have waited until you had it all before dumping it. I just don't feel anyone has the right to cry foul when it was pretty clear the tiers were opening up in leaps and bounds.
Before someone gets snotty at me, I was working in bouts towards my second crystal so I lost a fair chunk of BP too.

I think people are failing to realize that this was to be a BP sink. The crystal itself was just an added bonus. Slash just really wanted to get the BP out system and we the user-base keep throwing millions in there to unlock the next tier so we can see what could make down the line. It was like paying for unlocking a feature. Slash knew we would just dump BP without an added bonus so that why the crystal was there.
So in reality we were just sinking BP in to see whats next not for the crystal itself.

Arccy � Ashuu (#675) : I agree. It was a donation pool for the sake of donating to reach the goal. It's upsetting that some users didn't get to reach the 3mill mark before the donation box closed. And I do think a timeframe was needed, or at least a small notice saying after everything was unlocked it would be shut down. It just makes more logical sense to me for the donation box to just stay open, and the price raised over moving them to the BP shop though.. Even if the price isn't raised on the box..

Actually, I was planning to sink 3 mil BP in one go ONLY for the mineral crystal, not to see the next base. And I'm sure there are others who only donated for the crystal too. For me opening up the next bases was a bonus. I mean with just 2 or 3 I already like a base enough to want a crystal. If I hadn't I never would've even considered sinking BP.
I'll admit, I'm definitely lucky in that, I didn't actually lose any money like some people did. I played it a little safer, but nonetheless, it sucks for a large amount of people.

Anyone needing it, the mineral crystal I got is in my shop for 3.24 mil, and each time it's bought I'll replace it back in with another <3 (so long as I'm online)

Mmmm, that sucks. From the beginning I had been planning on donating 3 mil for a Mineral Crystal and for the stabilization, but because I was slow I have to pay more >~> That just-I don't know, it's sad.
And I totally agree with TequilaMockingbird (#64472) I read through it all and felt that there was a good explanation and reasoning, and having done pretty much the same thing, it was easy for me to relate to. Yeah. Really hope this doesn't happen again. That if something like that happens it's open for 24 hours.
