Auctions and Zapping

Pets

From now on if you put up a pet for auction and while it's still currently up for auction you decide you want to zap/potion/rock it and it turns into a pet you actually want to keep, then you're just going to have to wait and hope for the auction to end and nobody bids. I will not be removing these pets from auctions anymore. Please think twice about which pets you're putting up for sale and which pets you want to keep for experiments.

I haven't been active so I haven't been aware of an auction function and I searched the news for a link can anyone direct me to it?

I can't believe people do that oO How weird... Toki - you could put them in different categories, that way you can see them through that and know which is being auctioned and which is being kept?

Is there a way to make the pet inaccessible till the auction is over?

I had a feeling something like this might happen. Thanks for the update.

Eveglori - that's a good idea, and something I've considered after my girlfriend did it the first and only time. But, truly, people make mistakes. I don't see a point in calling them stupid for it o.o

Well.. Apart from putting them in auction/sell categories, these pet all have different id-numbers, don't they? Check up their numbers before zapping...
But still I think some kind of freezing as described above would be a good idea.

Nycti- That would be the smart thing to do, but face it... We all have our 'off' moments where you just think 'Oh, there's that insi I was lookin' for' CLICK. And then you realize... that was NOT the insi you were looking for. That's the insi you were hoping to sell for a little extra spending cash, and suddenly it's a Limited Peppermint Bark Soli about to end at 50k. Yeah, it's not a good position to be in. And of course no one MEANS to do something that careless... but it happens... So probably the easiest fix for both users and admins would be to lock all Aywas currently in auction.

Hm..can you bid on your own auctions? xD If so, you could always try to bid it back..if not, have a friend try and then just refund whatever BP they win it with, right? I mean, the wisest option is to just pick a not-auctioned pet to change, really, but it doesn't seem completely hopeless if you do, since you can still try to win it back if you can afford to outbid others. Not foolproof, but a help. ^^; I think you should be able to pick whether or not you want people to bid in BP or GP, too..and of course, a "Watch This Auction" and "Buy it Now" would be awesome-- but maybe that's just my ebay-OCD talking. xDD;

Dember - I really agree on being able to beed with GP. It would give the site more income and it'd be easier to bid... particularly on customs. I rarely keep millions of BP in my account, but typically have lots of GP available to me.

As for picking a not-auctioned pet to change... well... it usually isn't a choice when one does.
