"You can now call me a Kityip!"
The hybrid previously known as a Bunyip has been renamed to Kityip, per a community suggestion, since the original unintentionally shared a name with a mythical creature from Aboriginal/Australian mythology. Our apologies for any confusion or upset this might have caused, as the name was purely meant to be a bunny/fox combo, and was not intended as a cultural slight, and was an oversight on our part.
Thank you for the feedback as always! We hope everyone can enjoy this new hybrid. :3

Thanks for listening to user's suggestions and comments and changing the name! Kityip is still as cute as Bunyip in my opinion. :)

The other name was much more fun & easier to say, I wish there would've been a poll for this rather than it just changing. Inari is a Japanese Fox & no one complained about that~

@Valice & Fenris yes, an inari is a japanese fox, and... the inari actually resembles a fox. the name bunyip would have had no relation to the source material *v*

Why were people complaining about it? A bunyip is a mythical creature, why should calling a pet that offend anyone? Kodama are little forest spirits, not giant turtle monsters, and no one complained about that, as another said Inari is a Japanese fox and no one complained about that, so why suddenly complain about the bunyip?

Valice & Fenris (#20488) the difference is that the Inari does somewhat resemble it's namesake. The Bunyip is a ferocious swamp monster, not a fuzzy bunny.

Well now it has no relation to the Lepu...joy. XD
I enjoyed the old name more, but ah well. I love it for who it is, not its species name.
