Goodbye Breeding Coins!

Pets

Baaaaaaaaaw, I know. We're all sad to see the Breeding Coins removed from the Cash Shop as well as Tak's, but it's time for them to go. Didn't get enough money in time to purchase one of your own? I'm sorry! Save up your money though and who knows... maybe you'll be able to afford a couple by the time they're back in stock between March/April.

To help lessen the tears, how about I give out a few of these sweetie pies. The Beast Manticore! This is the default hybrid color you can receive from zaps or eggs, just like the other default hybrids (such as the Majestic Kyre). Want one? Go ahead and post below with what is your favorite "beast-like" creature and why and maybe you'll find one lurking around your lair.

I'm named after my favorite food, Beast Meat! omnomnom

These lucky users each got a new manticore...

Favourite beast? Sheep. I love sheep. They are totally beasts, they'll uhh... stare you apart? That's sort of like tearing right?
Well they rhyme and thats the most important part.

I'd have to say I love minotaurs because of the story behind them, they can pull off wearing giant nose rings, and the fact that they radiate pure strength and they have magnificent tempers. Have you ever wandered what it would be like to milk a minotaur cow? Talk about sitting back and buttering up the popcorn...

My favorite beast? Well I LOVE dragons, if you would like to call them a beast. They are so beautiful, majestic and intellegent, but also powerful and courageous. I also like how creative you can be with the way the look. There are no rules for drawing a dragon ^-^

I have to many favorite beasties. D: My favorite of all time though, is the lamb tree. A lamb that is grown from a plant. It remains attached to the plant through a cord in the navel. The lamb can graze within the length of the cord, but when it eats all the vegetation within reach, it dies. An alternative description is of a plant that has little pods that, when opened, has little lambs inside. I always preferred the alternative description myself, the thought of little sheepbuds. Which is not exactly bloodthirsty, but hey.. still a mythical beasty even if it's cute and woolly.

The lamb tree or it's sheep buds are also commonly noted to have meat that tastes like salmon and blood that tastes of honey. Because of this, wolves and other such carnivores enjoy them a bit to much.

They aren't very beastly at all (only being the size of a large house cat), but Borneo Bay Cats have been called "vicious" by the few natives who've trapped them - which is a very small number. Anyway, they're definitely my most favorite animal of all time. Partly because they're felids (which are highly adept predators and very resourceful animals in general) but also because they're small predators (whose populations can be counted to help paint a bigger picture of ecological health in an area). And. Actually. They're the one species I'm determined to study in the future, simply because I find them fascinating and (for whatever reason) research into their whole behavioral map and social workings is incredibly slim. :|

I love basilisks. As a kid I grew up thinking cockatrice and basilisks were the same thing... Then again they are myths, so you can't really tell what's right or not! What can I say? Basilisks are cool.

I love unicorns and they make wonderful companions. They might look gentle and pure on the outside but they can be very aggressive if you mess with the person that they care about. I think that's what I like best about they is their beauty/purity and then unexpected aggressiveness of them when in danger or someone they care is in danger.
