Rules
Aywas has updated its Terms of Service to add a new section under "Forbidden Material":
"No user may post any material that is sexually explicit or that is illegal in any way on Aywas.com. Users may not post about, mention, reference, or otherwise discuss the following topics: the desire to commit animal abuse, bestiality, child sexuality or pedophilia, warez or hacked programs, suicide, cult creation, or threatening of, or the killing of another person, both on Aywas and off. "
Aywas is not a place to discuss the desire to commit animal abuse or methods in which to do so. Thank you for your understanding and observance of our new rule.

I can't believe this was needed, but am also surprised it wasn't part of the ToS before.

It's a little sad that has to be explicitly stated that that isn't acceptable and shouldn't be discussed... Thanks for updating it though.

I know that in my area there was just over the last couple days an instance of something of this spectrum occurring. The two teens responsible videoed the incident and discussion, and posted it online. They're roughly the age that I imagine many people on Aywas are. I believe that the video and incident have gone viral, however I only know of it from local news. That said, it wouldn't surprise me if the video has been discussed somewhere on here, or as a preventative measure to keep people from doing so. I'm sure no one on here actually abuses or thinks positively about abusing animals. Thank you for this update to the TOS.

So sad this had to be added, what a shame that things have come to this. Glad it was handled.

marropo (#47922) Yes, the forbidden materials ban applies to the entire site and everything on it. The reason that topic isn't permitted is due to legislation imposed by the U.S. Government. If Aywas did not follow this, it would not be allowed to be online.

So sad that we actually have to have that in the rules; but I do see the need.
