New Cooking Items!

Items

You might remember that a few months ago I asked for your help in cultivating ideas for new cooking equipment and ingredient items--things to appear alongside staples like Grills, Kitchen Sinks, Maple Syrup, Seasoning, etc.--since our cupboard was getting a bit stale. Well, we now have five new items for your pantry!

Introducing the Magic Blender, Wooden Spoons, Wok, Pure Vanilla Extract, and Parsley!

The equipment will be restocking in Random Crap, and the food ingredients will be showing up in Tasty Ay Foods!

Feel free to continue suggesting items on the Think Tank thread linked above, though we have a great selection to pull future item ideas from already. :3

This is the first time we've released standard cooking ingredients/equipment in quite a while, so we'll be watching the numbers/restocks. The items will be called for in recipes quite a bit, and it'll take some time for them to fall in line with the other items in terms of supply, so keep that in mind. But nevertheless, we will be keeping an eye on things.

Hope you guys like these new items!

Why can't you adjust the random generated list levels to not ask these items so much in the beginning. Every time a new item comes up, it ALWAYS gets asked, multiple times after the update. That's ridiculous and hard on newbies who are just starting out playing the games. I don't see a point to make it difficult for a few weeks just because you want to "monitor" the items. You pretty much nerfed the value of some koaf items after making them work 100ks of bp and then they were reduced to more affordable prices. Yeah, great, but if you intended cooking to be a challenge, I'm getting mixed messages. I think aywas should revamp the gen. list to code it so easy items get asked level 1-10+ and then increase difficulty with level with actual rare items that stay rare (ex: maple syrup used to be worth quite a bit but now it isn't), not with rare items that drop in price in a few weeks. It's either that or make cooking do a rotate weekly thing in items so it's at a moderate level of challenge not just hard for a few weeks and then ridiculously easy for the rest. Once you have a hoard of items you won't need to buy any except butter. Yeah, I get rare items in any new market are worth a lot and price will drop but it seems unnecessary when this game doesn't really pay out that much and is only needed for unlocking koaf. I get supply/demand changes in game markets but my point is, I've always seen cooking as either easy or just annoying when a new item comes and I stop cooking for a few weeks. I wish there was more balance in that game but then again, that just goes out the door with a hoard of tv dinners.
