Argus had a happy ending

Site Update

AtkinsDover (#48446): I have news for everyone! According to teahound, Argus was adopted by a family a little after noon EST =) As I understand it, he has a forever home now and was not euthanized! The shelter received the emails Aywas users sent regarding his euthanasia and he was then adopted after his extension =) I'll have him post here with more details when he gets home!

You guys are amazing! I'm so very proud that the impact of the Aywas community meant that this kitten got a few more hours of safety, and in that time, HE GOT ADOPTED!

Well done! I will always be proud of our community for the good we do :)

I know there are a ton of shelter animals that need help, but knowing our community saved at least one of them is a great feeling. Thank you to everyone who sent out emails to the shelter and granted Argus that extension with your interest!

This is so amazing! My husband and I were trying to figure out a way to get there, because we're in Texas. ;3; I'm so glad he got a home! <3

Great to here that he got a home. I'm glad that they extended his time, but it would have been even betterif they would become a non kill shelter.

I am very glad to hear that he was adopted. I myself own a shelter cat named Auron(username came first, he just happened to get the name because of his personality) that is a pure black cat in 2010 that his rescue group had sit in a vet clinic for nearly 5 months before he came home with me. So everytime I see another black cat/kitten adopted, I am very happy that they won't be put down or stay in a shelter for longer.

I am personally very happy to see a good outcome for Argus. We used to have a black cat (she passed of old age) and have two black dogs. Black dogs tend to be in the same boat as black cats and the shelter that we adopted our two from is a no-kill shelter who had one of them for 2 years, since she was just a puppy. It's heartwarming to see these 'undesirable' but awesome pets getting adopted.
