The knowledge base article has been updated to reflect the 24 hour hatch date for regular Teo eggs. Rare Teo eggs have a variable hatch time.

I'm still REALLY confused about how the rare eggs work. You put an item in the description? What kind of item? Anything you want? How does that affect the pet (I mean logistically, is there something that's coded, or is there an artist on standby to make a custom, or...?) ?????????

@45175, it was a rare pet or egg so many were put into the adoption center and guessing they are all gone now

that's all of them. there will be no more and Ive been hunting hard for them...feel rather disappointed only 27 with how many we have as our userbase but oh well it is what it is. congrats to people who got an egg.
