Well I invite anyone here to come and critique my work: https://www.aywas.com/forum/topic/2004447109/
For the other part: I think it can be seen as eliminating competition that is better than the others who enter, thereby lowering the overall quality, at least that's the impression I got. That may or may not be true of course, just taking out one or two people for a week or two doesn't seem that damaging to me, just letting some people rest and others take the spotlight.

Asking to remove artists from entering is asking them to lower their standards, especially when the reason so many gave was to "give less talented artists a chance".
Please do continue this debate over in the discussion topic, I would be happy to explain why I think letting all artists compete is far healthier than reducing the number of artists available at any given point. :)

Firstly, saying mods/staff can't participate is kind of BS. The staff get 0 perks from being staff yet they are expected to take all the crap thrown at them. All of the staff are volunteers, they don't get paid, they don't get rewards, they don't get any form of benefit what so ever; so why can they not play the game that their *volunteering* on? That's not fair at all, their not judges, their not paid, so there is no reason why they shouldn't be allowed to participate in anything. They volunteer to help run this site because they love the site... why should they be forced to stop playing something that they love, because they want to try to help make it better..?
There is 0 logic there.. if people are going to assume that there is cheating/favoritism going on, then they need to open their eyes; They obviously don't know the staff that well if they think that they would be that petty to cheat.
And asking so that artists have limited entries..? That is also sorta silly.. The site gets money from doing this, and removes BP from the system.. you ban the artists who have already won from re-entering, the other entries may not be something that people want to win? it all comes down to style. What the others said, it is just removing competition so the people who lost don't have to work on improving their outfits.
There has been a few times where people post their outfits looking for criticism, it is a good idea and you can find out why the general populace hasn't voted for your outfit but voted for others.

I agree that staff deserve to compete, along with everyone else. Especially how they are dedicating a lot of their personal time to contribute to the site and what they have to put up with. I know that even moderating a community-like website is demanding. I've volunteered at a gaming site, before it shut down, and it's a lot of work and sometimes stressful. They deserve whatever they get, they've obviously worked hard on their pieces.

Maybe business ethics are different online, but in real life if you were to volunteer your time somewhere that's always running competitions and you entered it yourself and won, it would still be seen as a conflict of interest and the customers/guests etc would frown upon it, regardless of whether it was a legit win or not.

@Aporro
Same- not sure about online- but I know I worked at an amusement park and we couldnt play any of the games or arcade...
Now- just because if someone were to implement a "cannot enter again after winning" rule does NOT mean lowering the standards. As only 3 people max wouldn't be able to enter again. That leaves all these entries that made it to voting PLUS entries that were amazing but didn't make it to voting because you seriously cant choose all ;3; It wouldn't be lowering quality- just giving others a chance. This is the second one I've entered- the first time making it to voting. Making it to voting is sometimes a big thing for people as well. It also brings up their confidence instead of those who do have amazing designs, well done and everything, but never make it to voting, thus making them lose hope and just giving up.

I still don't understand where they got 'lowering standards' from. All I want is a limit to how many times a person can win per year. Also, I agree. Admin/staff etc shouldn't be able to enter into ANY site contests. I work at one of the largest casino corporations in the world and they're extremely strict about employees gambling on their properties, or entering in contests. It's all about conflict of interest. If one of their employees win over a guest, what will all their guests think?
