National Novel Writing Month is upon us!
(D: And my apologies for the delay on rolling out the forum parchment, we wanted to make sure you guys had private forums again this year.)
If you're unfamiliar, NaNoWriMo is a project that challenges you to write a 50,000-word novel within the 30 days of the month! I know many of you have been hard at work burning up those keys to make your goals, and we'd like to invite you to post your work here on Aywas for some appropriately themed prizes. c:

Post your stories here! This is publicly visible.
Private NaNo Logs 2013
If you don't want your work visible to the public, please utilize the private forum instead.
Only you and staff will be able to see your threads, and we will happily remove them from the site upon request after the month is over and prizes have been handed out.
Whether you use the public space or private area, you must follow the NaNo instructions!
We have also created a new FAQ thread for any questions that you run into.
And, of course, there are prizes!
(They stack, so the more you write, the more goodies you accumulate.)
Prize Tiers:
1,000 - participation item.
5,000 - pet item.
10,000 - HA set.
25,000 - Defense items.
50,000 - Forum title, exclusive fauna and a powerful weapon!
I'm not telling you exactly what each item will be specifically, but those are pretty good hints.
Since I don't have time to participate in NaNo myself, you have to let me create suspense somehow!

I might actually take part this year...50k words is actually incredibly doable for me, as I tend to write very descriptively and in-depth, and I'd love to gain some feedback on my writing from the community. My one question is: I deal with domestic violence against a young child from a parent for a few flashback-related scenes, which is based on my own personal experiences. Is this acceptable to be posted on the public boards, or would you rather I utilised the private boards in this case?

so slightly confused Oo we have till the end of the month as far as aywas goes or 30 days? I didn't know about this and so starting now would mean 11 days about lost as far as aywas goes for writing time.

I may try my hand at this...it may be that I only get to the first tier but hey :D My first attempts at writing anything was for the Scav. Eri -- did anything ever come of the short story as a possible online book part of Scav? I never heard anything more about that. Just sayin'.... Signed: The Pest :D
