National Novel Writing Month is upon us!
(D: And my apologies for the delay on rolling out the forum parchment, we wanted to make sure you guys had private forums again this year.)
If you're unfamiliar, NaNoWriMo is a project that challenges you to write a 50,000-word novel within the 30 days of the month! I know many of you have been hard at work burning up those keys to make your goals, and we'd like to invite you to post your work here on Aywas for some appropriately themed prizes. c:

Post your stories here! This is publicly visible.
Private NaNo Logs 2013
If you don't want your work visible to the public, please utilize the private forum instead.
Only you and staff will be able to see your threads, and we will happily remove them from the site upon request after the month is over and prizes have been handed out.
Whether you use the public space or private area, you must follow the NaNo instructions!
We have also created a new FAQ thread for any questions that you run into.
And, of course, there are prizes!
(They stack, so the more you write, the more goodies you accumulate.)
Prize Tiers:
1,000 - participation item.
5,000 - pet item.
10,000 - HA set.
25,000 - Defense items.
50,000 - Forum title, exclusive fauna and a powerful weapon!
I'm not telling you exactly what each item will be specifically, but those are pretty good hints.
Since I don't have time to participate in NaNo myself, you have to let me create suspense somehow!

You can write more than 50k, sure! There's just no extra prizes or anything from us for that. - Eri

Heh, depends on how far I'll have come by the end of the month.
Right now my story is a mess and my word count pathetic, because I've never written something set in our world before, and there's just /so/ much research to do xD Seriously, I'll switch back to my comfortable little fantasy worlds next year, so that I can just make stuff up if I need it, instead of spending hours reading up Icelandic history on the internet and trying to understand foreign politics :'D Good luck to everyone else, by the way!

Besides, I have a question: Does it matter which language we write in? I'm writing in German, as I'm not yet confident enough in my English skills to apply them to NaNo.
