Happy Veteran's Day

Site Update

Happy Veteran's Day! We thank all veterans and active duty military personnel for your service to your countries.

As with every Veteran's Day, if you're a veteran, active military, or the spouse of active military (of any country), you're welcome to e-mail [email protected] with your User ID # for a little gift from us.

A Red Poppy has been put in the Advent Calendar for today so everyone can collect one and remember their country's patriots.

So dependents don't count? Just double checking.

Correct, it's only for the three groups listed in the news post.

That awkward moment when you're German. ...Not that I don't respect our veterans, though! (I just prefer not to honour all forms of patriotism.) Remember them as the brave souls who endured the horrors of war and fulfilled their duty regardless of what the future held in store for them. Remember them for their efforts in defending their country, even when all odds stood against them. Some of them were lucky enough to make it through the bad times, and see the country rise from the ashes. I salute them for their strength. Germany lost two wars and was the battlefield of a third, yet here it stands again in Unity. (And it just so happens that last Saturday marked the 24th anniversary of the Mauerfall.) If only it hadn't taken so much blood and suffering.

All veterans despite what country they're from are amazing and courageous.

8 years and the guy kept refusing to get married cause it was just a "piece of paper" - and california doesn't recognize common law marriage so I guess I can't claim spouse... although it probably wouldn't have counted anyways since we split up.... but I don't know how common law marriages are legally dissolved, so maybe I would be considered a widow since he passed away and there was no kind of common law divorce or whatever... IF I lived in a common law state lmao... sorry had to post anyways... if this is too confusing or inappropriate feel free to delete it but over tired and had to share the mess that is my brain

Thank you David, Alex, and Max. Glad you boys are home safely from Afghanistan. And thank you to all other veterans and military personnel, the world is a safer place because of you.

I might seem a little dumb, (lol), but what is a spouse?
