With the power of a Slashbot, Aros (#4353) has unlocked a strange, deep part of the Arctic... and a battle between forces of nature--Deer vs. Wolves!

Choose wisely. Once you make your decision, it cannot be undone, but you will be rewarded with a gift for your allegiance.
Hooves Gift Bag | Paws Gift Bag
Each gift bag contains a potion, fact book, fauna, Forest Spirit, and unlocks a team forum title.
The potion, fact book, and fauna are determined by your team.
Here's how the event will work!
- First, you must choose a team! You can join a team at any time during the event.
- Your mission is to collect Forest Spirits for your team leader. They will be converted into points that will be redeemable in the Seasonal Shop, so you'll want to make sure your Adventurer doesn't have butter paws or hooves!
- Where do you find Forest Spirits? The Hunting Grounds, of course!
- Oh, and did I mention there's lots of other pets and items to collect?
Note: You can collect Forest Spirits before choosing a team, but you can't turn them in for event points until you select either Hooves/Deer or Paws/Wolves.
*Deer vs. Wolf Battle Timeline
- From now until September 4th at 11:59 p.m., you may collect Forest Spirits, but cannot yet turn them in.
- All day on September 5th, you are racing against the other team to collect and turn in Forest Spirits! This is a 24-hour battle, and the winning team will determine what SCC base gets released into the Seasonal Shop! (Note: The SCC base is not in this post--the deer and wolf images are monsters.)
- Once the 24-hour battle is over, you can still collect and turn in Forest Spirits, but they'll just count for your personal score, and won't contribute to the overall team score.
Remember, if you want to participate, the team battle is all day on September 5th.
The Seasonal Shop will open on September 6th.
Hunting Grounds, Forest Spirit turn-ins, and the Seasonal Shop will be open through September 10th at 11:59 p.m.
We will be adding plenty more pets to the Hunting Grounds, and Aros has some special contests up her sleeve! Stay tuned. :3
*These cuties are collectables right now but will be turned into fauna after the event ends.

I was looking forward to this event, but sadly I won't be able to collect any Forest Spirits tomorrow as it will be Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year, and I will not be using the internet all day, even when I am not at services.

Natal felicitations, Aros! As deer and wolves are interdependent for healthy populations, choosing one does not harm the other, so I went with the carnivore contingent, fond as I am of cervines.
(note - the spirits turned in for the team competition still register as shop points, yes? they don't just go poof...)

But I have noticed some of the trivia guys in hunting ground do not have the saying, just the answers. I have found the answer for some of them, but since two of the answers sometimes show up for the blank trivia, it still causes a problem lol
