Wow, we have a lot of news for you today, don't we?
The Rock Custom Crystal is now stocking in the BP Shop for 8,000,000 BP. It allows you to upload an unedited silver pet designated for the Rock Custom Crystal at the time, which is the below:

You may hoard Rock Custom Crystals for future bases. The above base will retire on November 1, before which a second base will be polled. The previous sketches will be included along with a brand new third sketch so you will always have the possibility of having one of those old favorites.

Gray.. Will there be deadline on the item being in shop for sale? Also in future, can we still submit for this design or will we only be allowed to submit the newer design?

Is there any other way to submit those beasts? Honestly, all those BP drain events are starting to bother me. I don't have much BP, won't even be able to get anywhere close to 8 mill anytime before this runs out... I'd rather spend GP on a design like this and buy a tiny silver potion to submit one. Maybe it's just me but lately everything which is remotely nice and awesome costs loads of BP...and definitely only favours the ones with loads of funds...

Metal was picked for a few reasons - it means only one item for the custom creator, it dramatically speeds up my ability to process them through the queue (Metals are by far the easiest things to judge, it's pass / fail, no in-between), and we also figured it'd be nice to have something for those who are only colorists to showcase their talent on, without being overshadowed by the (frankly totally awesome) editing crowd. Metal items are also a bit more in line with what the BP shop usually offers.
