Scav Results - Delay

Site Update

Due to some reports coming in, the earlier Scavenger Hunt results are now considered tentative. Two admins are going to be going through the top thirteen teams to investigate the reports sent to us.

As soon as we have results (whether the same or altered) we'll let you know. In the meantime, the prize shop will be delayed as we investigate.

Thank you for your patience!

@46533 It is in the judge's clarification/q&a thread.

My team was not one of the top thirteen. I do hope this clears up as quickly as it can.

I don't think there was an issue with players being judges I just think things should have been a little more clearly defined for them so they could have had an easier time in judging.

As for a team cheating, the ruling on that team has been made. I understand some people are upset but beating a dead horse as others have stated is not going to do any good. And it is not going to make Slash change his mind.

Admins and judges and Mods, I think you all had a difficult job with the changes to scav this year and I think you did as well as you could. Everything needs smoothing out from time to time and I am confident next year will be even better then this year was.

*hugs to everyone and bounces out to wait*

Good to know they are investigating cheating, because my team didn't do any of that :) I was worried they were going to regrade some things using yet even more rules.Trying to keep up with the changes was seriously challenging. Making the tasks more specific next year would definitely make some things easier. I also agree with those who posted about sore losers who had to cause ruckus because they got beat. Will the reports ever stop? I thought the contesting period was over *le sigh*

Bunne, no one is adding rules or regrading under any different criterion, rest assured. This was a necessary step, and it won't take long hopefully. The contesting period was not specifically designed for teams to report concerns about OTHER teams, it was specifically for concerns over your own team's score. The time to say "gee we should have gotten X points" has in fact come and gone. This wait period to double check the top teams (enough so that if any rankings change no more could possibly be moved up into numbered standing... that's why 13) will hopefully go quickly, and smoothly. We hope none of the voiced issues are truly founded, nothing would make those rechecking happier than to say "nope, all is well and fairly done."
Thank you to everyone for patience and understanding <3
