Due to some reports coming in, the earlier Scavenger Hunt results are now considered tentative. Two admins are going to be going through the top thirteen teams to investigate the reports sent to us.
As soon as we have results (whether the same or altered) we'll let you know. In the meantime, the prize shop will be delayed as we investigate.

There's also been a case of judges being too lenient. Saying a teams submission was "close enough" and letting them get full points. You can't do that. If you do that, you should allow "close enough" to work for those writing tasks that come up 1 or 2 words short. Especially since different programs do word counts differently :)

It happened in the first one as well then. It bumped my team into 8th place. =p And it was the only time I was on the same team as Morris. So yeah.

@Della: ah, the one about the paper I know was in the giant Scav because it was a rather prominent team that died. Didn't know there was any DQ in the first ever one.

@Tsuyu & Sia- Yeah. It happened then too. >_< My team was in 9th, got bumped to 8th. There was a big thing about it, and it was a prominent team in that one too, but I cannot for the life of me remember the team. >_< It was a bit of a mess.
Suffice to say, cheating happens. Has seemed to happen in just about every Scav. =( It's sad, but no really that surprising given the prize pot. People are greedy and will do underhanded things to get what they want. It's a shame because I know the vast majority of teams worked really hard to get where they were.

Yes. My LP and I were on different teams this year (LPs first year) and both teams worked very hard and are now being called into question. :/ @Apollo: regarding your word one? Yeah, the judge for those tasks was strict but the word ones were usually never really a problem. Generally the 'close enough' tasks were like...art ones. xD like...last year I had to do a noodle chromo or something and I did it. It was ugly but deemed 'close enough'.

This is not related to LoM, who did not cheat. Still continuing to claim that they cheated is factually incorrect and misunderstands the purpose of the task. This is for unrelated reports coming in that require us to take a closer look at the top thirteen teams.

That was the second summer Scav hunt, actually. I don't understand what is going on here, but I hope it doesn't take too long.
