Yoo hoo! *waves hanky* It's me again with another special delivery!
Did you know that today is Book Lover's Day? No? Well, neither did I until Shaylmesse (#13314) brought it to my attention-- and I'm blushing to have to admit my ignorance, because there are few greater pleasures than curling up with a good book! If you're like me and would just love to have your own little personal library, why don't you try Shaylmesse's gift on for size?
The Book Lover's Background is available in the Advent Calendar for the duration of today and tomorrow, up until August 10th, 11:59pm.
Ooh, but wait! There's more!
Tell me your favourite book (and why!) in the comments and you could be in with a chance of winning this set of custom crystals! I'm in need of some good new holiday reads and I'm sure I can't be the only one. :3 Chime in by August 10th, 11:59pm to ensure your spot in the draw (one entry per account, please).
Ooh, but wait! There's even more!!!
Do you remember I mentioned earlier in the week that I was having a tidy of my inbox? The invitation (and encouragement!) to nudge your outstanding Artist Pay is still open, but today I am asking you to bump up PMs pertaining to Lunarii switches. That means if you picked up the wrong Lunaris for the month and you're still waiting on me to swap 'em around for you, point yourself to my inbox sharpish!
Phew! Okay! That's everything - probably! Who knows! Yay! Exclamation marks!
Thank you for the background, Shaylmesse!
Just smell those new pages!

My favorite series is the Kingdom series by Chuck Black. I will admit it does seem rather religious, but the storyline is superb! It is (this is from memory) a story about the son of the king setting out on a quest to find his father. There is a fair amount of swordplay, and many intriguing animals. I particularly enjoy the panther/glider-squirrel they have. (For lack of better description)
It is a series of six books.

My favourite book is "Raptor Red" by Robert T. Bakker
It tells the life story of a female Utahraptor . What makes this book so amazing is that its written from the raptors point f view, without actually useing speech. this way we get to see the whole life and death of those prehistoric times with the raptors eyes without killing the atmosphere with weird dialogues. The twists and turns are quite unexpected and it is easy to grow fond of the characters. Faster than you can think you get attached to this raptor family and fever with them for survival. This way, Raptor Red is not only a veryy entertaining book, but also very scientifically educating, as Rob Bakker has put all his knowledge as a Paleontologist into it.

Alright, MANY people have probably suggested this book, and/or you've already read it, but recently I read the book Divergent, by Veronica Roth. I have never felt more close to a book than this one. It was incredibly relatable, almost SCARILY relatable, actually. It resonated deeply within me, had believable characters without sounding over-used, and the entire time you could feel comfortable with the main character, who's a completely sassy, determined, self-sufficient teenage girl. It may sound typical, but the utopian society that is crumbling around them is a taste of something new when it comes to utopian society. And most of the newer copies of the book come with a Q&A afterward that's really great and informative and I love it help I'm shaking this is such a good book oh god I love the voice behind it and it's just really well written for teen (and adult) fiction and I'm just!!!!! Read it!!!!! Please!!!!!!

My favorite book is Wild Magic by Tamora Pierce :) I'm a sucker for fantasy books and this one is full of mystery and adventure. (There's also three more books in the series, hehe. Wolf-Speaker, Emperor Mage, and The Realms of the Gods.)
