Yoo hoo! *waves hanky* It's me again with another special delivery!
Did you know that today is Book Lover's Day? No? Well, neither did I until Shaylmesse (#13314) brought it to my attention-- and I'm blushing to have to admit my ignorance, because there are few greater pleasures than curling up with a good book! If you're like me and would just love to have your own little personal library, why don't you try Shaylmesse's gift on for size?
The Book Lover's Background is available in the Advent Calendar for the duration of today and tomorrow, up until August 10th, 11:59pm.
Ooh, but wait! There's more!
Tell me your favourite book (and why!) in the comments and you could be in with a chance of winning this set of custom crystals! I'm in need of some good new holiday reads and I'm sure I can't be the only one. :3 Chime in by August 10th, 11:59pm to ensure your spot in the draw (one entry per account, please).
Ooh, but wait! There's even more!!!
Do you remember I mentioned earlier in the week that I was having a tidy of my inbox? The invitation (and encouragement!) to nudge your outstanding Artist Pay is still open, but today I am asking you to bump up PMs pertaining to Lunarii switches. That means if you picked up the wrong Lunaris for the month and you're still waiting on me to swap 'em around for you, point yourself to my inbox sharpish!
Phew! Okay! That's everything - probably! Who knows! Yay! Exclamation marks!
Thank you for the background, Shaylmesse!
Just smell those new pages!

Darkfever, by Karen Marie Moning; it's murder-mystery, clashing with fantasy and romance! It's one of my fav book reads of the year!

Conrad's Fate, by Diana Wynne Jones. It's a part of the larger series, the Chronicles of Chrestomanci, but you don't need to read the books in order or even the other books at all, really, beyond them acting as an expansion of world-building. I love all her books and re-read them frequently. Conrad's Fate is my favorite one because it's got a really nice slice-of-life element and centers around two boys being friends and helping each other out! And also magic and intrigue.

I love the book Divergent! It is very interesting, and there aren't a lot of dull spots. It's very interesting, and it really works with your sense of adventure, and makes you wonder just what is going to happen next. It takes place in the future, and in an almost sort of utopian society, where everyone has their place, which they choose when they turn 16. These places are found in the groups they join, which are their factions. Each of the factions are different, and stand for what each group finds most important. It's actiony and I wish i could tell you more about it, but i don't want to risk ruining anything for you!

The Lantern Bearers by Rosemary Sutcliff. Though right now I can't stop thinking about The Dark Is Rising by Susan Cooper.

Favorite book? Misty of Chincoteague. Prolly has to do with me only living a couole hours away, plus I love classic kids books. And horses.
