Yoo hoo! *waves hanky* It's me again with another special delivery!
Did you know that today is Book Lover's Day? No? Well, neither did I until Shaylmesse (#13314) brought it to my attention-- and I'm blushing to have to admit my ignorance, because there are few greater pleasures than curling up with a good book! If you're like me and would just love to have your own little personal library, why don't you try Shaylmesse's gift on for size?
The Book Lover's Background is available in the Advent Calendar for the duration of today and tomorrow, up until August 10th, 11:59pm.
Ooh, but wait! There's more!
Tell me your favourite book (and why!) in the comments and you could be in with a chance of winning this set of custom crystals! I'm in need of some good new holiday reads and I'm sure I can't be the only one. :3 Chime in by August 10th, 11:59pm to ensure your spot in the draw (one entry per account, please).
Ooh, but wait! There's even more!!!
Do you remember I mentioned earlier in the week that I was having a tidy of my inbox? The invitation (and encouragement!) to nudge your outstanding Artist Pay is still open, but today I am asking you to bump up PMs pertaining to Lunarii switches. That means if you picked up the wrong Lunaris for the month and you're still waiting on me to swap 'em around for you, point yourself to my inbox sharpish!
Phew! Okay! That's everything - probably! Who knows! Yay! Exclamation marks!
Thank you for the background, Shaylmesse!
Just smell those new pages!

My friend had me read the Ranger's Apprentice series. I also like Evil Genius, the Artemis Fowl series, the Gregor the Overlander series and the Ascendance Trilogy. Also, you should read the manga Kuroshitsuji.

Bridge of Birds by Barry Hugart
The ending makes me cry every time, but out of joy.

My most favorite book of all time has to be White Fang by Jack London. I love how it's written from the animals points of view and you can really visualize everything as it happens. Once I started reading it I couldn't put it down.

I cant narrow down a favorite book per say, i adore /all/ the books ive read, but i can narrow down two of my favorite authors and everything theyve done. Mercedes Lackey *and Andre Norton in some collabs* and Thomas Harris. Pretty much anything theyve wrote, ive read and adored!

I think my faovurite book would have to be 'Deadline' by Chris Crutcher. His style as a whole shows a pretty realistic world that you can believe, and this one is no different. It was the first book from him I've read, and I take it with me everywhere now.

The Leviathan trilogy, by Scott Westerfeld! It's a totally awesome alternate universe of WW1 where the Germans and their side are 'Clankers' (Work with steam powered walkers and machines) and the British and their side are 'Darwinists' (Use fabricated animals by combining DNA from different animals). The trilogy is centered around a boy flying on a hydrogen breather and an Austrian prince, both with a secret each!

The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson at the moment. It's an Epic Fantasy book - epic applies in a number of ways, including its length - from a bit back that I had been re-reading in anticipation of the 2nd book of the series being released in Autumn (though that unfortunately got postponed).
If you haven't read it yet, I can really recommend it.
It'll also give you plenty of curl up time. ;)

It's really hard, but I'd have to say that my favorite book is... Howl's Moving Castle. It's different from the movie but an excellent read none the less.
Gotta love those books of magic. \o/
