Yoo hoo! *waves hanky* It's me again with another special delivery!

Did you know that today is Book Lover's Day? No? Well, neither did I until Shaylmesse (#13314) brought it to my attention-- and I'm blushing to have to admit my ignorance, because there are few greater pleasures than curling up with a good book! If you're like me and would just love to have your own little personal library, why don't you try Shaylmesse's gift on for size?

The Book Lover's Background is available in the Advent Calendar for the duration of today and tomorrow, up until August 10th, 11:59pm.

Ooh, but wait! There's more!

Tell me your favourite book (and why!) in the comments and you could be in with a chance of winning this set of custom crystals! I'm in need of some good new holiday reads and I'm sure I can't be the only one. :3 Chime in by August 10th, 11:59pm to ensure your spot in the draw (one entry per account, please).

Ooh, but wait! There's even more!!!

Do you remember I mentioned earlier in the week that I was having a tidy of my inbox? The invitation (and encouragement!) to nudge your outstanding Artist Pay is still open, but today I am asking you to bump up PMs pertaining to Lunarii switches. That means if you picked up the wrong Lunaris for the month and you're still waiting on me to swap 'em around for you, point yourself to my inbox sharpish!

Phew! Okay! That's everything - probably! Who knows! Yay! Exclamation marks!

Thank you for the background, Shaylmesse!

Just smell those new pages!

The Skeleton Creek series by Patrick Carmon. A very good read, Patrick Carmon is good with writing mystery, and the series not only makes you want to read more, but it is spooky and can give you shivers. It also has online tie-in with videos made as if by the main character's friend, and the books themselves are written as though you were reading the main character's journal. Lots of mystery, strange symbols, graveyards, and ghosts! These are especially good to read in October!

Mine would be Wyrd Sisters by Terry Pratchett,
I love the Discworld series and a bit of fantasy and I love the tome of these books, Wyrd Sisters in particular as I love the characters of the witches and the slightly Shakespearean qualities that this book has. Also Greebo the most evil cat ever to walk the disc is wonderful.

I love books with a bit of comedy in that do it well as they seem to be rare gems.

So hard to choose, I don't know if I should list my most favorite, Lauell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series, or something another series I love but haven't seen suggested yet.

So I will go with the one I haven't seen listed yet. Tara K. Harper's "The Grey Ones Series (Tales of the Wolves)" Series. Specifically "Wolfwalker". Humans have settled on another planet and live in an old world type of society. Some humans have a physic bond with wolves that allow them to work together. .It is an adventure series that goes into great detail about the dangers and way of life on this planet. The characters are well written and I love the little bits of poetry at the start of each chapter that tie in well with the rest of the book. I also love wolves.

My favorite book at this moment is Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan! :D I adore the Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus series (two of my very favorites, actually), and it only makes sense that MOA is my current favorite. The characters are fantastic, the humor is spot on, and the book chucked me into an emotional roller coaster with hilarious, lighthearted ups and absolutely destructively heartbreaking downs. It's a fabulous book by a fabulous author. <3 :)

It's hard to pick just one but in general I love reading the Chronicles of Redwall by Brian Jacques. The whole series is well written and entertaining. It's set in a sort of mid-evil like time and all the characters are animals... the only problem is you need to ignore size comparison that would be natural for the types of animals mentioned. All in all even though all the stories are similar they all are unique enough to still be entertaining.

Poison Princess by Kresley Cole
This book is about a post apocalyptic world where a group of people that represent different tarot cards prepare for the ultimate battle.
