Yoo hoo! *waves hanky* It's me again with another special delivery!

Did you know that today is Book Lover's Day? No? Well, neither did I until Shaylmesse (#13314) brought it to my attention-- and I'm blushing to have to admit my ignorance, because there are few greater pleasures than curling up with a good book! If you're like me and would just love to have your own little personal library, why don't you try Shaylmesse's gift on for size?

The Book Lover's Background is available in the Advent Calendar for the duration of today and tomorrow, up until August 10th, 11:59pm.

Ooh, but wait! There's more!

Tell me your favourite book (and why!) in the comments and you could be in with a chance of winning this set of custom crystals! I'm in need of some good new holiday reads and I'm sure I can't be the only one. :3 Chime in by August 10th, 11:59pm to ensure your spot in the draw (one entry per account, please).

Ooh, but wait! There's even more!!!

Do you remember I mentioned earlier in the week that I was having a tidy of my inbox? The invitation (and encouragement!) to nudge your outstanding Artist Pay is still open, but today I am asking you to bump up PMs pertaining to Lunarii switches. That means if you picked up the wrong Lunaris for the month and you're still waiting on me to swap 'em around for you, point yourself to my inbox sharpish!

Phew! Okay! That's everything - probably! Who knows! Yay! Exclamation marks!

Thank you for the background, Shaylmesse!

Just smell those new pages!

Pretty much anything by Christine Feehan! I especially love her Dark Series and Wereleopard series, though. <3 They have all the great elements of a story. Romance, controversy, action and some 'awww' moments! <3

Shattered mirror by Amelia atwater Rhodes. It is a vampire book with hunters and such hints of love with a dash of blood. It is more for teens not too graphic or anything but still worth the read for sure. I love pretty much all of her older books but this one in particular is my favorite with a set of twin brothers :3

My favorite book is "deeper" which is a series of books about an albino boy who finds out who he really is, and about a race of evil like humans who plain on destroying those who live above the soil.

It's confusing without reading "tunnels" then "deeper", "Freefall" and the last one which I need but can't find "Closer." Argh. >_<

I also like the Old Will's place and the Ghost Of Greylock. Both about ghosts who need help trying to pass on.

My favorite book has to be Mastiff by Tamora Pierce. It's the last book in the Beka Cooper trilogy, and they're all three good reads by an amazing author. In fact, all her Tortall books are amazing!

Personally, I'm very picky with reads----I read EVERYTHING, and then I find a few personal favorites. I have to say, there are two out here that have caught my attention, and I strongly believe that you'll enjoy both of them. For a more modern book, I'd suggest "Divergent" by Veronica Roth. It's a beautifully written novel about the future---about people who have been grouped into five factions--Abnegation, Amity, Dauntless, Erudite, and Candor.....then there are the Divergent. Full of great well-written plotlines and deep emotions, this is a MUST-READ. It's a beautiful first installment of Veronica Roth's trilogy!

But if you want an older book to read, I'd STRONLY suggest "The Scarlet Pimpernel" by Baroness Orczy. Set during the French Revolution, this is a beautiful classic written about a hero who saved hundreds of lives from Madame Guillontine, but had to hide the fact from his own wife. This story weaves a brilliant suspenseful novel--one full of betrayals (accidental or not....) committed by his clever, yet unawares wife.
Yup! Happy reading!!!!!!

My all time favorite book is The Neverending Story by Michael Ende. Most people only really know the movies but ... well ... the two aren't really alike. It's an absolutely lovely book and most editions keep Ende's illustrations as far as I've seen.
