Yoo hoo! *waves hanky* It's me again with another special delivery!

Did you know that today is Book Lover's Day? No? Well, neither did I until Shaylmesse (#13314) brought it to my attention-- and I'm blushing to have to admit my ignorance, because there are few greater pleasures than curling up with a good book! If you're like me and would just love to have your own little personal library, why don't you try Shaylmesse's gift on for size?

The Book Lover's Background is available in the Advent Calendar for the duration of today and tomorrow, up until August 10th, 11:59pm.

Ooh, but wait! There's more!

Tell me your favourite book (and why!) in the comments and you could be in with a chance of winning this set of custom crystals! I'm in need of some good new holiday reads and I'm sure I can't be the only one. :3 Chime in by August 10th, 11:59pm to ensure your spot in the draw (one entry per account, please).

Ooh, but wait! There's even more!!!

Do you remember I mentioned earlier in the week that I was having a tidy of my inbox? The invitation (and encouragement!) to nudge your outstanding Artist Pay is still open, but today I am asking you to bump up PMs pertaining to Lunarii switches. That means if you picked up the wrong Lunaris for the month and you're still waiting on me to swap 'em around for you, point yourself to my inbox sharpish!

Phew! Okay! That's everything - probably! Who knows! Yay! Exclamation marks!

Thank you for the background, Shaylmesse!

Just smell those new pages!

Ashtown Burials (Series) it is a rather curious story, with a villain that is rather human, enough that you can feel sorry for him. (Which is freaky at times, considering what he's done.)
The way the story is told makes it that you only know as much as the main character, even when you get to see things through the villain's eyes. The author has created wonderful character designs as well, even the side characters that only appear for one chapter has so much to them that makes them look and appear as normal humans. ;~; I adore N.D. Wilson's work.

I've always loved the book "The Crystal Cave" by Mary Stewart. It' a book about Merlin and it's told in a very unique way. If anything, it, and its sequel "The Hollow Hills" are the two books I will never take off my shelf. There's something so mysteriously magical about watching Merlin grow up and how he helps Uther sneak into the castle to see his beloved Igraine. Or when he is in the cave of crystals and seeing visions.

The first book holds a uniqueness that captures what it is like to be a child who is alone, but not always lonely. Sneaking into little passages and hiding out; being yourself in a world who finds you strange. All leading up to being a teenager and finding paths of secret orders and initiations, then into adulthood and the promise of being a great wizard.

I tell you, if you haven't read "The Crystal Cave" and "The Hollow Hills", you really should, because they are absolutely wonderful books to get lost in!

My favorite book is The Outcast of Redwall by Brian Jacques. I first read this book when I was in middle school and it made me want a ferret for a pet. Because of this book we got our first ferret named Treeflower. If it wasn't for this book I would never have discovered what wonderful pets and companions these special animals make. By the time it was all said and done my family had seven ferrets and an entire bedroom changed into a ferret room. Sadly all of our poosles (A combination of the words pungent and woosle) have passed on but they brought a lot of joy in their short lives.

I really loved Midnighters by Scott Westerfeld. I am a teen so if your older it will be a good read.
It's fictional and a little bit of Sci-fi.

It's about kids with powers but they are very secret and only activate when the rest the the world is frozen in time because it is in the 25th hour of the day.

No idea what kind of books that you like, I'd have to know more if you want recommendations based on what kind you prefer-I read a lot. My favorite series is a book series written by Nora Roberts under the pen name J. D. Robb. The series is the "In Death" series, there are over 45 books in it so far and it is still going strong, they are all based around the same central characters and are futuristic murder mysteries. The main character is a cop in a not too distance future, who along with her husband partner and a few other cops solve various murders with different themes. There is some Agatha Christie, some cloning, some cloak and dagger, they are all really good. And being a Nora Roberts series, they are romance books as well. I love them, and reread the series every time there is a new one coming out (I can finish a book in a day). You can start anywhere in the series, I started with #8 while on a road trip and about two hours later forced my driver to pull over at a bookstore so I could buy the rest of the books to read while we drove.

The entire Night Angel trilogy by Brent Weeks. I cannot even begin to describe the gut wrenching emotional trauma Brent subjects his readers to, but if you're a wee bit of a masochist, you'll probably love it.

My favourite book is " Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K Rowling" because there is so much suspense in the book every minute. Once something happens another thing happens again and it keeps you sitting on the edge of your seat

The "Otherland" series by Tad Williams. It is like all the best parts of sci-fi and fantasy rolled into one series where a group of people are trapped in a virtual reality (like a VR version of the present day internet) and unable to be disconnected. It is a bit more complicated than that, but it is hard to describe in a short description. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otherland
