Yoo hoo! *waves hanky* It's me again with another special delivery!

Did you know that today is Book Lover's Day? No? Well, neither did I until Shaylmesse (#13314) brought it to my attention-- and I'm blushing to have to admit my ignorance, because there are few greater pleasures than curling up with a good book! If you're like me and would just love to have your own little personal library, why don't you try Shaylmesse's gift on for size?

The Book Lover's Background is available in the Advent Calendar for the duration of today and tomorrow, up until August 10th, 11:59pm.

Ooh, but wait! There's more!

Tell me your favourite book (and why!) in the comments and you could be in with a chance of winning this set of custom crystals! I'm in need of some good new holiday reads and I'm sure I can't be the only one. :3 Chime in by August 10th, 11:59pm to ensure your spot in the draw (one entry per account, please).

Ooh, but wait! There's even more!!!

Do you remember I mentioned earlier in the week that I was having a tidy of my inbox? The invitation (and encouragement!) to nudge your outstanding Artist Pay is still open, but today I am asking you to bump up PMs pertaining to Lunarii switches. That means if you picked up the wrong Lunaris for the month and you're still waiting on me to swap 'em around for you, point yourself to my inbox sharpish!

Phew! Okay! That's everything - probably! Who knows! Yay! Exclamation marks!

Thank you for the background, Shaylmesse!

Just smell those new pages!

One favorite?! I don't think I can do that.

I'm very fond of fantasy and humorous fantasy is perfect for summer days. Summon the Keeper by Tanya Huff is a fun story with interesting characters and if you have ever lived with a cat you'll enjoy the main character's frustrations with her cat companion as it gives her attitude while she's trying to save the world. I also enjoy the Valor series. They're more serious, as they follow the adventures of a marine, but have good characters and story lines.

For a quick fun read the Myth Adventure series by Robert Asprin is always a good bet. I like the first few books the best and although I've read them many, many times, they still make me laugh. Phule's Company is another good one for lazy reading.

David Eddings has several good series. The Elenium and The Tamuli with Sparhawk and The Belgariad and The Malloreon with Belgarion, Polgara, Belgarath have provided me with many hours of enjoyment following their quests. As each of the series has 3 or 4 books, count on it taking a good while to get through the entire series.

The Warriors cats series is amazing X3 I absolutely love it, and have for several years now. The fact that even though the main series is done, they're still releasing more books makes me happy XD Though I can't pick a book out of the series, the section "Omen of the Stars" is my favorite right now :3

There's a series of books by Jeff Stone called The Five Ancestors~ It starts off with Tiger, and the series goes from there. It's a pretty good series of books that I recommend. c:

Happy Book Lovers Day to all!! My favorite book is actually A Little Princess, by Francis Hodgson Burnett. When I was a little girl, I used to run away, a lot, hehee. Whenever I would, I would hide out in my best friend's tree house. He would come up and read me chapters of this book, and once he would get to the end, he started it over. Hehee, I shall never forget that. I suppose that is why this book is my favorite. :') Angel

My favourite book is His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman. (I got the book connected, instead of three separate ones.)

The Dark Tower series by Stephen King. Specifically The Wind Through the Keyhole which can be read seperately from the others.
Usually I say the Warriors series by Erin Hunter since I have read the first arc probably 17 times but nothing beats the master of stories.

'Atlas Shrugged' by Ayn Rand is probably my favorite. Its one of those 'the government completely takes over and wreaks havoc' books. It also talks about and explains Objectivism. Its long, but well worth the read.

Well, My favorite book is Shiver by Maggie Steivater, it tells the story of the wolves of Mercy Falls, nobody knows where that came from, and nobody goes near them. Except for Grace Brisbane. She has loved the wolves since she was little, since the day the pack dragged her from her backyard swing set when the winter brought starvation for them. She has but only one memory of the attack, a small dark gray wolf nuzzling into her bloodied palm and staring into her eyes as the pack ripped into her body. Eight years later she sits on the very same swing set, winter again, watching the dark gray wolf that seems to glower back at her as he slowly approaches, she was able to clearly see the blood on his muzzle, and she wonders if he had been the one that killed her classmate a few weeks ago. And what happens next because of this, leads her to find a human body that closely resembles her gray wolf laying on her doorstep.

My favorite is Chronicles of Narnia, If you've seen the movies you'll know a bit about them but the books are a lot better then the movies.

The Hitchhiker's Guide series is the best thing ever. So funny and strange and awesome. I'm planning to do my senior thesis on it, because why not? c:
