Yoo hoo! *waves hanky* It's me again with another special delivery!

Did you know that today is Book Lover's Day? No? Well, neither did I until Shaylmesse (#13314) brought it to my attention-- and I'm blushing to have to admit my ignorance, because there are few greater pleasures than curling up with a good book! If you're like me and would just love to have your own little personal library, why don't you try Shaylmesse's gift on for size?

The Book Lover's Background is available in the Advent Calendar for the duration of today and tomorrow, up until August 10th, 11:59pm.

Ooh, but wait! There's more!

Tell me your favourite book (and why!) in the comments and you could be in with a chance of winning this set of custom crystals! I'm in need of some good new holiday reads and I'm sure I can't be the only one. :3 Chime in by August 10th, 11:59pm to ensure your spot in the draw (one entry per account, please).

Ooh, but wait! There's even more!!!

Do you remember I mentioned earlier in the week that I was having a tidy of my inbox? The invitation (and encouragement!) to nudge your outstanding Artist Pay is still open, but today I am asking you to bump up PMs pertaining to Lunarii switches. That means if you picked up the wrong Lunaris for the month and you're still waiting on me to swap 'em around for you, point yourself to my inbox sharpish!

Phew! Okay! That's everything - probably! Who knows! Yay! Exclamation marks!

Thank you for the background, Shaylmesse!

Just smell those new pages!

My favorite books right now are the game of thrones series. I love Danny and her dragons! She cares do much, too. I don't like ALL the main people killing, but it's piking back up now. Overall., I don't know if I could pick one. I like Anne rice an Anne mccaffery, most all of their books. Terry brooks is good too. And dean koontz. And a lot! Lol

Mercedes Lackey has been one of my favorite authors, Knight of Ghosts and Shadows has always been my favorite of her books; but it's hard to choose given how much I love her work. XD

The Time Travelers Wife - It was the first book that was able to make me dream dream about the setting as well as make me fall in love with the main characters. The characters, the way its written and the over all plot of the book are simply amazing as well. It's a read I would definitely pass on to others.

The Picture of Dorian Gray, it's just a fantastic book and plus who doesn't love a narcissist as the main character?

I'm torn between The Name of the Wind & The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss and Anne Bishop's Dark Jewels series, Tir Alainn trilogy, and the Ephemera trilogy because they are the only two authors that have ever moved me to tears not only by the sadness BUT also for all the happiness. A lot of books will get me for the downs but very few ever get me for the ups as well! And even though I've read and reread countless times, they still affect me the same way every single time. Patrick Rothfuss and Anne Bishop both create these amazing worlds that pull you in and have you craving more.

The best book that I have ever read is called Glimmerglass by Jenna Black! It is a series of three books, but the first one is called Glimmerglass. They are an absolutely AMAZING fantasy book series. It is about a normal human girl who has to deal with having an alcoholic parent, but when she finally has enough of her messed up life, she contacts her father who is a Fae man who lives in a place called Avalon! Thinking that she will have a more normal life with her father than she ever could with her mother, she leaves and her life changes forevermore! Full of romance, twists, great characters, adventures, and wonderful developments throughout the books, this series is an unknown MUST read! <3

If you don't mind some irreverence and enjoy a good laugh, I would recommend "Lamb: the Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal" by Christopher Moore.

I don't really like to commit to favorite books, because reading is a passion so near and dear to my heart, but if I had to pick a recent read that I thoroughly enjoyed, I would have to go with The Fault In Our Stars. John Green did a brilliant job with keeping a normally very clichéd topic fresh, and, though the book was sad, very light and humorous. In addition, the symbolism and underlying messages were very strong and touching, and the characters were very easy to connect with. It makes you laugh, it makes you sob like a child, and it makes you wonder and question things that you may have formerly taken for granted. I would recommend this to anyone who loves to read realistic fiction, or anyone who just loves to read. I don't think you'll be disappointed. I'd describe it more, but I feel like my synopsis wouldn't do the book justice unless I spoiled it, which I would hate to do.
