Today, the storm doesn't seem to be subsiding.
"Good evening, dear citizens of Ay!
I am Professor Jamew, scientist in the field of Pet Mutations. I am very sorry to announce that last night a little tragedy happened in my laboratory. One of my latest experiments went on a rampage and escaped, leaving DNA Samples from my award-winning collection of all site pet genes scattered all over the place, leaving a trace all throughout Ay and Ara!
I highly advise you not to panic. The creature that escaped has a rather harmless temper, but might feel tempted to "play" when confronted with aggression or fleeing opponents.
My impish assistants and I will try our best to get a hold of the rascal as fast as possible
However, I ask you, the citizens of Ay for help.
Not only did that beast trash my laboratory, and spread my DNA Samples everywhere around here, but it also freed a good bunch of my experiments. They are now running free around the Bridge and the Fissures!
Your focus shall be to retrieve my precious DNA Samples for me.
Of course the reward will be worth the hassle. I would give an arm and a leg* to see my sample collection complete again!

To clarify, DNA Samples are now dropping in all Adventure areas so that you can run around in your favorite region! :3 These are account-bound points and you will encounter them in random piles of 1-10. You can keep track of how many you have by visiting the Seasonal Shop.
15 mad science-themed pets have been unleashed in the Bridge and Fissures.
The pets and DNA Samples will be available through June 29th at 11:59 p.m..
We expect to open the shop on the 26th or 27th. Stay tuned!

During this event, are all pets encountered while exploring event pets? Otherwise, how can you tell that a pet is unique to the event?

Has there been any thought to opening the fissures(no quests) just for the event? Bridge was really bad for the steampunk event as is=/ a good 10k gears and I literally never once ran into an odlak, and only one baron welly when more were added.
