There are a lot of updates for the unbreedable custom makers.
The Shattered Custom items have all been renamed to Crystal Crumbs and given some new, shiny art! The cracked orbs also have some pretty new artwork (refresh if you don't see it).
After some consideration we have decided to drastically lower the prices for the unbreedable items to give users who don't need to breed their pets a way to enjoy custom artwork on the site at a much lower rate.
Here are the new prices for these items: 8 GP for Silver Crystal Crumbs, 3 GP for Gold, and 1 GP for Blue. Cracked Orbs are 100k BP for Blue and 500k for Gold.
These box items have been introduced to the GP Shop and open into a random 1 - 5 of their respective crystal crumbs.
We hope that the lowered prices will allow everyone to enjoy custom artwork on Aywas, especially if you don't necessarily need your pet to be breedable. However, as may be expected, there are two new rules for unbreedable Silver customs: they no longer come with free artwork from the SCC team, and they can only be made "breedable" with a Breedable Potion if they would have been Silver Potion acceptable.

For those of you thinking about breeding -- there are a lot of art rights rules that would prevent you from using unbreedable customs in place of breeding. You aren't allowed to upload customs using someone else's work without their permission, nor can you upload customs using any edits or markings from site pets. People who still want to have additional customs based off the edits/marks of site pets or anything that you don't have permission to use still have to use a breeding item.

Awesome! But, at the same time, a little bit pissed. I got a cracked silver crystal from a grab bag and now it's nearly worthless. Ah well. It sets a few users back, but I can see the benefit for the site.

I feel so bad for anyone who saved up and worked hard for a shattered silver crystal, only for it to be suddenly useless.

I kind of have to agree. I think there should be a refund for anyone who purchased a shattered crystal in the last 10 days or so where they are refunded the difference in GP or something. Though I technically didn't purchase mine. Still...

I am very glad to see this! I had a custom I have been wanting to upload and don't plan on breeding. It would have cost me so much before and now I might actually be able to own it! <3
