Site Update

No one knows what happened after that. Lester was never seen again. Some say that Putman let Lester out alive out of respect for their previous partnership. Others say he followed orders, loyal to the Mother Hound until the end...
The only thing anyone knows for sure is that the Mother Hound won. Out of the stolen livers and spilled blood, her victims rose again, this time as her subjects. With this newfound power, she forced all who opposed her to kneel to her might. The city council, the law enforcement, and the hooligans she had used as her scapegoats all became her personal minions.

Those who went to investigate what happened to the quaint little town came back barely alive. No sleuth could infiltrate it, no soldiers could dent it. Eventually, the political leaders of Ay agreed that they had but one option: destroy all roads to to the town and try to forget it ever existed. Attempting to rescue what little survivors remained would risk more than they could possibly gain, and so the streets were left to the Mother Hound's rule.
At least, that's what they say.

I mean, it's all just a story to get the kids to wet their pants, right? "Apocalypse Hounds" probably aren't even real. Heheheheh.

Neura Raffle | Xaoc Raffle

The custom rares above have a taste for Soul Tickets--which you'll find stocking in unlimited quantities in the shop. Click the links to go to the respective raffles!
I think you'll be able to feel your way through Famine's domain, but we do have a couple of special items hanging out in the shop that I'd like to spotlight!

First up is the Goblet of the Hound, which is a custom creator that makes an Apocalypse Alt Insi or Quol!

Click the images above to download their PSDs. :3

Next up is a bottle of Cursed Waters. If you think this looks gross and diseased, just think about how your poor pets are going to feel! Why would you want to let your pets drink this vile concoction? Because it's a new breeding add-on!
If used with a BC or a HBC, the offspring may take on a more malevolent, corrupted form. Snarly faces, claws, horns, and other monster-like edits will properly transform a breeding into something much more... sinister.

The Apocalypse Hound Theme will look familiar to those of you who spent any length of time Downtown. Activating this item will permanently unlock the Apocalypse site theme for you!

One item that you will NOT yet see in the shop is the Hound Fetus Jar. This is a very limited, special item that will enable you to make an Apocalypse Hound SCC with up to 30% edits. Per Jester's request, we will be releasing a total of 10 in batches of 2 at various times to hit multiple timezones. The price will be 60,000 points. I will give you at least 24 hours notice before the first set goes in, so look for that closer to the end of the week!
Did I mention Famine is buried in awesomely creepy HA wearables?

Don't forget that you have the Preview Wardrobe feature at your disposal if you are debating which clothing items would suit your HA character. :3

And there's a few more pets for our pet collectors to snag!

Congratulations and thank you to everyone who participated and made this event come to life!
The highest rank, Rank 4, was awarded to the top ten high scorers, Rank 3 given to above average scorers, Rank 2 to average scorers, and Rank 1 to all participants that fell below that range.
*proudly wears Rank 1!*
I will be contacting the top 10 scorers from each team, who will receive one of the Apocalypse Hounds from here.
Famine's Feast will be stocking Apocalypse-related goodies through Monday June 10th at 11:59 p.m., at which point Downtown will close. The Xaoc and Neura raffles will be drawn on the 11th.

Thanks for playing and enjoy!

@DJDread & Gearshift - yeah, the missing arm of the Quol is freaking me out. If I ever made one of those, I would use the 30% line edit limit to remove one of the arms...

@lufik12 (#10857) ~ Links were provided in the news post + it was described that you had to sacrafice the souls to provide the points a few times. https://www.aywas.com/news/view/2067/ The links were in this post, and on the links it showed that you had to turn in the souls to count. ~Ryu

@14083 I don't want to buy everything in the shop but I would've liked to have been able to at least buy the pets AND one set of clothing for my HA. Don't get me wrong I'd love to have one of the custom makers or the breeding ad-on but that just isn't gonna happen. I think by far this is the most expensive I've seen items go for from an event, at least since I started playing Aywas. It's a shame that a small group of people who could blow 24/7 on here collecting souls ruined it for a lot of other people that really enjoyed the event.
To those that had problems understanding the soul turn in: I agree with them I also held onto my souls until the last day to turn them in as I thought it was a separate thing from the shop and that I would loose them if I turned them in and have nothing for the shop. So I agree with a lot of what the others said and also for non English speaking people things need to be made a lot more clear. Only reason I turned my souls in when I did was I saw the very last news post about it and it was a tiny bit more clear.

Aw man. I've really enjoyed the event and I wish it could come back like, let's say, on every Halloween. Cause it's the coolest event I took part in so far. <3

@17 -- Is the goblet item permanent (as in, does it expire at a certain time or can we hoard /sell them whenever? XD)
Posted on: Wed Jun 5, 2013 6:40am
Everyone remember how for Christmas/Yule we were collecting snowflakes and Candycanes, but could only buy things with the Candycanes? Remember how we could turn the snowflakes into the shop keeper to convert into more Candycanes? It would only take one line of code to make all the souls people hoarded into account bound items, and then a little more tech magic to let people turn those bound souls in to Famine himself for the points they are worth. I'm suggesting this for all the players who thought we would be turning souls in directly as currency--like almost every other event on this site--rather than using our score to buy things. (And also suggesting this on behalf of every Non-Native English Speaker who would have missed the -vague- implication to turn in their souls, rather than holding onto them to use in the seasonal shop.)
