Soul Warning!

Site Update

collectable_warpedsoul.pngcollectable_twistedsoul.pngcollectable_lostsoul.pngcollectable_lingeringsoul.png

Our favorite wispy souls seem to be sensing something on the horizon.
You have a little over 24 hours to collect all the souls you want to get, as they will be disappearing after May 19th at 11:59 p.m.

After that, you will have an additional 24 hours to turn in all souls that you may be hoarding. Your leaders will be accepting souls through May 20th at 11:59 p.m.

(Please also be sure to check out the posts below about Apocalypse Contest Winners, our new Broken Mirror, the Raw Pet Poll and more!)

Just my rotten luck that my computer keeps getting worse instead of better, and then today the external drive I was installing everything on to keep the poor thing limping along fried - with 2 terabytes of my files on it!!! I had my firefox profile on it because when my cache gets even a little big my internal drive starts clunking... so now I can't load more than a page or 2 into the cache, and on dialup I can't play without the cache - so I can' t even take advantage of the last 24 hours... dang cats broke my external!!! AND I can't even color because photoshop was installed to the external!!!!!!!! Sorry, just had to vent... this was a really cool event and I wish I could've played more - my thanks go out to whoever organized it!

Yes, how dare we voice our opinions. We're so ungrateful and stupid for not heaping unconditional adoration on the event and the way it was run. We should just keep our mouths shut when something doesn't make sense to us, because there's no such thing as constructive criticism. Seriously, guys, how dare we. Oh, wait- that's not how the world or Aywas works. We're allowed to have an publicly express our own opinions, regardless of whether or not you agree with them, and we should be able to do so without fear of being attacked for it.

Just like the person who worked so hard on an event for us should be able to do so without being attacked for it!!!!! You just made my point! Thanks so much for that!

Sorry for the double post, I wanted to add something......your post was not one I was referring to. You were just stating an opinion, not being rude or ugly or anything. My complaint was with those that are being rude and ungrateful, you were neither so I have no idea why you are so upset hon! Sorry if you took offense to what I said, it was not directed at you at all!

The only thing anyone said about the maker of the event is that it didn't seem they'd planned it very well. That is also an opinion and not an attack. Whether or not you were talking to me specifically is immaterial- you're still attacking people for expressing their opinions. The only person who said anything I'd construe as rude in this comment thread is you.

I know it wasn't meant to be an attack, but I find the "If you don't like the event, don't participate!" response to be a really aggressive thing to say at this point. I mean, it would be fair for regular site events because we usually know what we're getting into and thus what we'd be missing from the beginning... but this event we didn't have anything to go on - not even a deadline! By now there's been 3 *weeks* to search for souls, and saying 2 *days* before the event ends to just not participate completely marginalizes the time that people have already invested into the event. It even sounds like people should be penalized for not being psychic enough to make a decision based on information that wasn't revealed until the very end, 3 weeks in advance.

I normally like to know whats in the shop before I waste hours on explore hoarding the currency, especially since we're not sure what its worth. But I'm open to the suck it and see approach, which certainly makes it different. I look forward to seeing what's in there :).

Out of curiousity (did I miss something in an earlier post?) where does it say anything about the souls being used as currency in the Seasonal Shop? That's not at all what I understood from this post.
