Poll time!
How many of you would like explore pets to retire from their areas after a certain amount of time (available only through Truly Random Eggs, Glittering Rocks, and so forth)?
The benefit to this would be making it easier to locate new pets in the explore regions, of course, if the older ones get retired on a schedule! As well as older colorations should become more valuable.

What effect would this have on the existing (i.e. "original") area pets (like Reben and Ebony Melo, etc) - would we suddenly ONLY have pets that have been released only for the length of the scheduled run?

I think changing their rarity would make them more desirable, but they could remain their same rarity (making them simpler to get out of Random Eggs) and simply be taken out of the regions. Either way is fairly easy from a staff perspective.

Right, yes. If, let's say, a majority of players wanted pets retired after six months, we'd take out pets that weren't added to the region the last six months. The only exception would be for less populated areas that would result in less than 30 pets, or don't have enough pets per rarity level.

If you were to change their rarity anyway, you wouldn't be able to get them out of the eggs, would you?

I think this would also increase the value of TRE's. I have to admit: I don't even hatch eggs now unless using my MPT. There isn't much point to it. : /

Totally agree with retiring pets! Either 6months or 1 year after they've been released. Makes perfect sense to me, especially considering you can get them in other manners. ~Icy (Pyro may have a differing opinion I'm sure she'll post with it if she does)

I voted for retiring after 6 months, but either that or retiring after a year would make me happy. Adventure as it is is overcrowded with pets.

No way. If you take them away that makes it so people can gouge newbs on older pets. It's hard enough to collect all the old admin distributed pets, let alone having to fight for a limited amount of explore pets too. Just my perspective =)

I'd like to see them retain their current Rarity assignments, but be removed from Adventure after the decided period of time. It'll make new pets easier to get, increase the usefulness of Random Eggs/TGR's, GR's.

Would their rarity change though, or would they just be removed from the areas? Only asking for those like me who organize their lair depending on rarity. It would be quite a hassle to go and move every pet that retired
