Aymas - Day 12
It was really difficult having to choose a final five wishes from a good number of ones that were very important - some very expensive - and ultimately we decided to grant a couple more than the last five.
Wish 56
By Yuki (#172)

I wish that Kagemi (#160) would get some financial assistance to buy baby things. She and her husband just got the good news that she made it through her first trimester and so they are officially expecting their first baby. :3 As a moderator, she spends a lot of time and effort on the site, and I think it'd be nice if Aywas made her Christmas extra special!
Wish 57
By Teishuku (#32462)

My last wish is for there to be an Ovarian Cancer Awareness day sometime next year. I'm losing my younger cousin to a very rare form of it, and she has been a huge inspiration, not showing her fear of death, not showing her regret for leaving family behind. She has always been a huge supporter of cancer awareness, and it seems that Ovarian Cancer in particular is one of the forms that gets passed over or forgotten easily. Or even if a donation to my aunt/uncle/cousin could be made (they are trying to raise money for her funeral expenses... D: ) would be extremely amazing.
NOTE: I'd like it if you could contact me and we can pick a date and I'll start assigning workers to making this day memorable.
Wish 58

I have a friend in the hospital that currently in terminal condition. She never made an account on this site, but one of the times she was nearby, she saw the Fire Unicorn Lunaris and said she wanted to make one as a plushie for herself. Unfortunately, neither one of us are skilled with a needle and haven't been able to get anyone else to make it. As much as I would love the resulting plush doll to be sent directly to her room in the hospital, but they don't take patient mail... There is also a chance that this plush, if it gets to her after she dies, will be buried with her so it can keep her company after death, in a sense.
Wish 59
By Retta & Imay (#63)

By Retta:
I have a real life wishy of puppy items, toys, etc for Imay (also here on 63). She recently got an adorable little Yellow Labrador puppy, and I'm sure she'd be absolutely tickled with puppy stuff spoilage~ :3 Anything would be awesome. Chew toys, treats, little bed. Doesn't have to be super spendy or a mass of items. I know she'd appreciate anything, even if it was just a ball or something~ ^^
By Imay:
I wish for Retta (#63) to get... a husky, puppy or adult dog (if good with cats). XD She's been wanting a puppy but huskies are extremely expensive (or the cheaper ones aren't good with cats) so... (But she got a husky, so instead she gets some supplies for her new dog!)
Isn't that cute, lair partners wishing the same for each other?
Wish 60
By Tala (#2113)

Cheshire (5252) Would REALLY love to be able to give her baby stuff. She is almost 8 months pregnant with her second try, her first was a still born and caused complications with this new pregnancy. She had internal bleeding and thought she was going to lose the baby. Its a little girl named Zoey who is due sometime in February. They JUST had to move homes (12/16/12/) and it will be very hard for them to get the things they need for their little one. Also just found out that Cheshire's arting laptop took a dump so there will be no more arting from her until they can afford a new one...:(
Wish 61
By Tibbs + Jo (#808)

Oookay. Ookay. This one's going to be a little weird, but I think there's a purpose to this xD
So my horse Griffin, I'm pretty sure everyone on aywas that ever was knows about him.
He's my best friend, and honestly he really just makes life worth living right now. And yet sometimes I feel sorry for him.
During the summer, he has super bad sweet itch - an allergy to insect bites that a horse can get. It makes everything super itchy, their coat, and especially mane and tail.
Last summer he was so allergic and itchy, he scratched it all off. About half of his tail, and his entire mane. He was bald up until about a month ago, and it was still itchy and covered in sores. I felt sorry for him, but there wasn't anything I could do at that time.
I wish that my best friend Griffin could have a bit of fly spray this year.
Wish 62
By ◄ocey► (#2172)

For Helmy (#1401)
If it's possible, could she perhaps have a giftcard IRL of some sort? It's for her and her son you see, I'm sure that she'd want to spoil him this holiday somehow and it'd be nice if she got a wish granted for them both :)
And last but not least...
Wish 63
By Jackins & Nox (#50)

Site wide: I've seen a number of posts from a few users throughout the year mentioning that they are struggling to make ends meet and having to cut out meals or having to skip them. If at all possible, some sort of donation drive that could be split up between a few users for food needs for the holiday would be my biggest wish. Nobody should have to go hungry over the holidays.
This wish will start something special for the start of 2013... you'll hear more about it later after I speak with the wisher!

This is such a lovely thing to log in and see on new year's day, thank you staff for granting my wish for Helmy! I'm really happy that someone noticed the wish, she truly does deserve it.

I agree, ocey - Helmy truly deserves more than just an hour a week via Skype with her son. I'm glad that she'll be able to give her son some stuff, to let him know that he is always her son.
I'm not a mother and never will be, due to being infertile. I always enjoy knowing stories of moms and their kids. I'm cheering on Zoey to make it home to all the stuff that Aywas will have given her. For Zoey is already a little part of all us on here, I think. And that is gonna give her tremendous strength from a place she does not even know until she is older. :) I look forward to her learning about this awesome wish made for her and her parents. I know she will always carry Aywas in her heart.
The last wish really really really hit home big time because my husband and I are snappish at each other, primarily because we aren't eating enough and I can't imagine families where parents are going without in order to provide for their children - I want those parents rewarded for such devotion to their children. I grew up in a hm, a bad family, I suppose you can call it that. So when I see parents doing without so that their children doesn't have to live without, I have to praise them for being so brave because that's SO hard to do. So Aywas, if you can, please direct your food stuff towards families with children, not silly childless couples like me and my hubby. We'll be ok. They're the ones who have to scrape together funds for school supplies, for food money to eat so they can do well at school.

*jaw drop* Whoo, in all honestly, I wasn't expecting this to get granted. I'm definitely gonna be going to the hospital soon to tell her the good news. :3 I'm guessing I should be expecting a PM soon asking for an address to send the plush at. >.>

I made a thank you board first thing this morning, but I thought it right to post here. I want to thank you all, the users, the site, everyone so much. Words really do fail me. Matty has been in the middle of things no child ever deserves to be in the middle, and I am so completely overwhelmed that I'll finally be able to do something to bring him joy. He deserves it so much. The kindness and generosity of this community is without compare. I can't wait to talk to him this Thursday for my hour and get some ideas for things he might want. I'll for sure be posting an update about what we get for him, as well as his reaction.
PS the last time I saw him he saw some of my pets here and wanted to play, he is now looking forward to the day he is 13 and allowed. I look forward to the day he meets such amazing people.
I also want to say that I'm so so happy that all the wishes above and below mine were granted. I truly feel unworthy of being grouped with them. Bless you all.
