Gold Custom Crystal
This crystal will allow you to create a custom with 50% - 75% lineart changes!
So as some of you may have noticed, we've changed the price of one of the crystals as well as set up some new rules and regulations.
We're closing in on 1,000 custom pets and gen2 offspring, and have decided to take the information we've gathered from this and put in place our final decision on how to offer crystals and what should be expected of each one.
Please visit the new Custom Crystal Rules and Guidelines thread to read over the new regulations if you haven't already. You'll also find that the Request Customs thread has also had a small change.
I apologize now for any inconvenience this may cause for those who were planning customs that may not be done yet but have already purchased crystals. If you wish to upgrade you may message Beeejaay #19 for a GP refund for your blue custom crystals. These new rules do not apply to customs that have already been submitted (the queue is now clear so all new posts are up to date).
If you'd like some more reasoning behind the change and a bit of a better explanation as to why these changes were implemented, view Slash's post on this thread.

This is actually a good idea, given the amount of custom designs going around. This also gives the gold crystals more of a use, which is nice.

I think there was the topic of discussing that will split the gold into two crystals, one 10 or 15 gp less to have the user do it themself. As long as they still follow the rule that the changes must be up to the quality of the site.

Yeah Ink, that's what we're doing. The goal is to allow all sorts of customs to become available but continue to keep most of them close to the original base lineart while still supplementing income with the few who decide to go out and purchase the heavy edited customs.

This is also good for users who want almost a complete custom, but can't afford to spend almost 100 gp on redoing the whole thing, but would rather spend half that and get almost what they want. Pretty much the difference between a gold and a silver is being able to change the pose and style a bit.

lolz uhm oops? xDD;; =pushin da limitz= >3>;; Sooo..if mine is 'pushing' 75%..I'd need a gold to make another with his base? x3 Darn. Guess that ups what I'm saving for..unless I settle for smaller linearts. >3>; Would just the eyes, tail and wings like my Demitrex has be more than 50%, or would that still qualify as a Blue?

"All submissions must be approved by an administrator and will be rejected in edits are not staff and/or site quality." Is this true of the blue crystals as well? :3
From the point of view of a broke teenager, it's a "NOOO DARNIT" moment.
From the point of view of a petsite player, it's a "That's ok, customs will be more special ._." moment.

Guys how many people actually do so many edits to get above a blue? Seriously. Most the designs that are for sell are still blue if not all of them so I don't see the big difference. All BJ did was be nice enough to set out an explanation for those who kept asking questions. Out of so many who are brave enough to ask there are always a few who aren't. XD Giving examples helps me a lot more as well.

Nope, blue crystals are just the same as before.

I think this is perfect. After all, a basic custom on Digis with no edits is $50. I like the fact that this means there will be less line edits. People worked hard on the line art and it doesn't seem right for everyone to be altering it. The only thing I don't get is why Silver is "better" than Gold here. That's cool though, since I prefer Silver to Gold anyway, lol. I'd never get into line edits so this isn't bad for me. If I ever did get a Silver or Gold Crystal I'd use the staff drawing it option for sure. :)

Well imo, what's probably going to happen is that everyone who wanted to create customs before the change will still create their customs via blue crystal, even if they have to tone the design down. I don't think most people will make the 30 GP jump, whereas if it were ~10 GP or so there would be more people going for the gold crystal = more income for the site, yeah? :u assuming that you guise prioritize income/funds over complexity of customs. I dunno 3:
