*sighs* I am really confused....Being new..I am not real sure what an "overlay" does? Perhaps someone might explain it to me...I see we have a LOT of choices to pull from..when we hatch our egg..but why?

So Eri, does this potentially mean that we could overlay parents with their babies? xD Or does this not work on custom pets? If it does work on custom pets, do they still show as the offspring? o.o

*sighs* I am really confused....Being new..I am not real sure what an "overlay" does? Perhaps someone might explain it to me...I see we have a LOT of choices to pull from..when we hatch our egg..but why?
---- overlay is really only letting us have the extra choices of hatching our eggs onto our existing pet. Let's say I have the pet ID 1 and I have a bred egg back from a breeding BUT I do not want it to be on a new pet which would have big numbers, I can select it to be hatched on ID 1 which is a better choice for me instead of big numbers. (Of coz I would have to own ID 1 to make that work.)

Overlay is just meaning you can choose an existing ID for your eggs. does not affect what's in your egg so if your bred egg was bred to get a hybrid baby, it will turn up as a hybrid baby. It's not letting you decide what you are overlaying with, it's letting you decide what you are overlaying over.

just to make sure (because i can't really tell) - if i overlay my high level adventure pet with any new pet from (for example) a truly random egg, it'll only change the pet, not its stats, right?
