Welcome to October--the greatest month on Aywas!
You've been celebrating with streamers, gushing about your favorite site memories and ducking Famine's gaze already, but the fun is just beginning! Mwuahahaha.
Let's kick off with a spook-tacular parade of new monthly pets and goodies!
From a festive rodent to a squishy teddy bear and the monster its trying to comfort you from, we've got 9 awesome pets waiting to come home with you in the GP Shop!
But wait! Leave room in your trick-or-treat bag for the 9 adorable pets hanging out in the BP Shop! Cheesecake and candy lovers to dog and flower fans will find something for their lair here!
If you colored one of these stunning pets, please contact Visark (#185) for your payment!
Make sure to send the PSDs for these pets in to [email protected] right away! Or I will torture your crayons.
Note: If you entered a pet in the BP/GP shop contests and it did NOT get accepted, please PM me if you would be willing to let me use it for our features this month. :)
Feel like taking a gamble? Then you might be interested in this gorgeous, opalescent potion--the Essence of October 2012! Like all our monthly potions, it will change your pet into one of the colorations above. This might be the safest thing you'll feed your poor pet all month.
Do you share a birthday with Aywas? Look who's here just in time for your special day!
The Dog Lunaris is the newest in our Chinese Zodiac collection and will be a loyal companion to those with October birthdays.
If you found the birthday clothes to be a little revealing and chilly, then you might be interested in the Premium Item for this month--the acorn-shaped Autumn Wardrobe!
The wardrobe opens into 10 fall-themed items! Not all of them are pictured above, but that gives you an idea of the style. :3
Normally I'd update this section with contests for November, but lets indulge in October and Aywas' birthday for a day, shall we? I know this brand new Alternate Slith has been enjoying himself!
New pets, new items, new alt hybrid lines, on top of birthday cake, Famine's return and an impending battle between Ay and Ara?! What else could you guys want?
... how about a Spooky Forest?
We will be filling the forest with new creepy, pretty, Halloween pets throughout the month, so ration your Aynip and Nets appropriately! And don't let Famine near your energy food supply.
The Spooky Forest is filled with 10 brand new collectables that will be used in a special Museum Collection AND in other upcoming features, so hang onto 'em!
Oh, and these guys?
Yeah, they're making a comeback. :3
If you're newer to the Aywas Halloween scene, the above items will be used as exchange currency in our Seasonal Shop that will open at the end of the month. You should be able to find them in the Spooky Forest, but it won't be a pumpkin cakewalk!
Don't worry, Yasu and I will be watching values and tweaking things as necessary to make sure things are showing up.

I have plenty of other things to announce, but you'll just have to wait until tomorrow to find out what they are.

I think there's a glitch with pets, because only Autumn Masquerade Vyne and Death Corra are showing themselves out. Others are only gatherable by special events (jumping or playing with).

Bionda, I have the same problem...no pets are showing themselves for battle. Only if I toss my pet across the ravine or send her to meet someone do I have the chance of getting any of these pets.

For those that can't seem to get into the SF, just click the pic of the forest in the news post. On the Adventure location page, the SF is greyed out til after you enter it.
