Finns!

Pets

About a year ago, the Finn came to inhabit the world of Ay.
Though they adapted well and their population steadily grew, they have maintained the status of being a rare, lucky find.

In honor of the anniversary of such a special pet, the Finn family is expanding!

While viewing the new fins, I couldn't help but want to write a short story about the Wildfire Finn. So here we go: Among all the Wildfire finns in the forest during the autumn months, all had been busy fattening up and creating their dens for the cold winter to come. Their scurrying among the leaves scorched their pawmarks into the red, gold, and brown leaves, leaving intricate patterns while some leaves were left entirely burned. And finn that rested too long caught fire to the patch of leaves it stopped on, risking causing, well, a wildfire like their namesake. As the sun went down and the Finns settled, yawning and full after a long day's feeding, they curled all together under the dug out roots of an old redwood tree to sleep for the night. The combination of bodies and intense heat began to scorch the living tree around them, a flame sparking to life and soon engulfing the entire burrow and exposed roots! The flame jumped from the roots to the leaves, pushed by the wind through the brush and swallowing bushes, saplings, and smaller trees alike. The Finns woke with a fright, undamaged by their own flames, and quickly dashed for a second burrow deep within a rocky hillside. Meanwhile, the blaze they'd created burned through the woodland. And thus, another Wildfire had started.

I like Finns because of their wings... and their lovely posture! My favorite of the new 15 would be the Ink Blossom, because of the theme, and it's very nicely colored :)

My favorite thing about the Finns is that their little tongues stick out. It kind of makes them seem... childlike? Instead of big old bad dragons.
My favorite new coloration is the tiger one. I am OBSESSED with tigers. They're my favorite animal, so obviously the Tiger Finn would be my favorite.

My favorite thing about the Finn has got to be the eyes. There's a whole range of what finn faces can be like thanks to those eyes.

I like the Celestial Finn *hint hint*, and my favorite thing about Finns is how tiny they are! I love it when li'l critters like that act all bad a--, and their description says "...they have a ferocious bite". Reminds me of a scrappy chihuahua I saw this a.m., who was viciously threatening to bite my ankle. :D

I love how Finns can manage to look tough and delicate at the same time.
