Site Update
The Custom Tokens in the Trash Shop have been given a serious price bump. I know price increases are never fun, but I think we can all agree that being able to get a pet with 75% edits for 1 GP isn't quite right.
And while I'm here, I'd like to remind everyone that glows, transparency, and clipped on accessories/clothing still count as edits, and thus are not allowed on Metals.
This pet is okay for Metal:
These pets, however, would NOT be okay:
I'd also like to make sure everyone knows that the Personal Custom Queue now allows you to cancel your own pet submissions! If you submit an image only to realize you submitted the wrong image, had a white background, coloring errors, or any other mistake, you can cancel it yourself instead of having to PM me.

You know I joined this site a month before it's one year anniversary and when I joined it was the most fun I had ever had on a pet site. Some people might have noticed that when I started along with my Finace we were both very active players. I have since stopped playing for the most part. I check in now and then but it's things like this that make me not want to play at all. I'm a writer, not an artist and this means that unless I spend the vast majority of my day on the computer I'm not going to get anywhere at all. Since I work eight hours a day and have chronic migraines, this isn't possible therefore I'll never get anywhere. I would have nothing on this site at all if not for the fact that my fiance loves me and sends me customs now and then. It's a bit redundant if you ask me, this site now-a-days. If the whole appeal of your website is that you can make custom pets, then why would you make it completely impossible to GET said customs? It's hardly fair to new players who have very little source of income if they join the site thinking Great! Finally a pet site with something fun I can do. I can finally have pets that look the way I want! and then find out itll be four months of playing before they can even make their first metal. I can tell you if it had been that way when I first started I would have stopped playing on day three. I love this site, I always have. I pets for my favorite OCs and I love them to death. I have friends here but the complete lack of ability to do anything without being an artist or having vast amounts of real money (Which unfortunately I dont because go figure I have to pay rent) makes me think I should be looking elsewhere for my web entertainment.

Today's forecast is cloudy with a change of entitlement.

Also, I am kinda sad about all these recent price hikes... I had been planning on buying some GP, but with all these price hikes, it seems like my money wouldn't be worth as much, and I REALLY Don't want to spend a shit ton of money, because I, unfortunately, do not have a job. :(
And like Holst, I too am a writer, not an editor. I can't make designs that are good enough to be sold. I can make semi-decent MBC predicts if I have both parents PSDs, but not good enough to get regular customers unless I offer my services for free (Even then, I only had like, 3 customers when they were free).
And honestly.... Nobody wants to pay for writing, so I can't exactly sell that... And I really don't think it's even possible to get enough BP from adventure to get big-ticket items.... Especially since hardly anyone is selling GP...

You know I havent minded a lot of the recent Price Hikes on things because I figured they were necessary but now it just kind of seems like youre bumping the lowest most common items because theyre the lowest most common items. There will always be something at the bottom after all. All the people Ive sent here to play have quit recently because of the new Price Hikes. What I think some of the Mods are forgetting is that Aywas is only fun because of the Breeding and Custom Making. You take those away from new players and they wont want to stay and there goes all of the money they may have been willing to spend to boot. Profit gone.
Considering this is one of the few times Im not in line with the staff I think this time theyve going a bit far. I joined because this place wasnt like Neopets and you didnt have to wait 6 months to get something fun to play with. That is starting to not seem the case anymore. Also love how the people crying entitlement! already have 500+ Custom Pets in their Lair.

If they keep doing this, no ones going to want to spend what little real life money they have on the site, and then there is no money to pay the artists or keep the site up. Then we'll have a dead site. Normaly I'd say that be really really depressing and sad, but with the way the aywas staff seems to be against the players with making things impossible to get....I don't know if I even care anymore.

joined this site a while back and stopped playing because life got hectic... and I return to this. I'm starting to doubt returning was even worth it anymore. i had been planning when I could for a few customs I really wanted, now it feels like that effort was pointless. I'm not the a good custom artist, I can't really sell my designs for anything. This really doesn't seem fair considering I was finally going to have my first self-made gold pet. Thanks Aywas... thanks a lot... this site used to be so fun and awesome, now the only reason I'm hanging around is because its the only site both of my really close friends are on... doubt how long that'll last anymore

I've only been here a month or two, (honestly forgot I had made one for a while after signing up) was aiming for a gold token, had a design ready, 2,700ish trash points stocked up and now... Feels like it's been ripped away from me unfairly. I don't know how the economy really works here yet, but I do know chances are I'll lose interest in this before I even get close to that first custom, but because I'm stubborn I'm not gonna settle for the cheapest token and keep aiming for... 15,000 TP.
One thing that did draw me into the site further (After a day or two of playing) was how reasonably obtainable a custom was when any other pet site- like the ones with dyes and paintbrushes to change a pets color to something predetermined- was nearly impossible for many players.
Just adding my opinion, hoping it helps get a point across that the price change was just... Not really fair to new players... (Like others mentioned)

15,000 Trash Points for the Gold Token??? And the sad part is that you guys are totally serious. Well, that's just...awful. I can't even be sarcastically grateful. You do realize that the amount of items it will take to earn that many points will probably total to way more than the token is actually worth, especially considering how few species there are to create with the Trash Tokens? That you've just jacked the price of something WAY out of proportion? I'd rather have a price floor on how much you can sell them for, or not be able to sell them in shops, rather than have to shell out, at MINIMUM, 1,364 items to be able to just get a Token to do a bunch of edits.
