Site Update
The Custom Tokens in the Trash Shop have been given a serious price bump. I know price increases are never fun, but I think we can all agree that being able to get a pet with 75% edits for 1 GP isn't quite right.
And while I'm here, I'd like to remind everyone that glows, transparency, and clipped on accessories/clothing still count as edits, and thus are not allowed on Metals.
This pet is okay for Metal:
These pets, however, would NOT be okay:
I'd also like to make sure everyone knows that the Personal Custom Queue now allows you to cancel your own pet submissions! If you submit an image only to realize you submitted the wrong image, had a white background, coloring errors, or any other mistake, you can cancel it yourself instead of having to PM me.

I think the issue is that it was more than a 'price bump', it was multiplied *several* times. Would be more truthful to say 'prices have been changed to reflect what staff feels is fitting to the economy', since that much of a jump is a mountain, not a bump!
For you folks saying "go explore more, get more stuff, dump it" - I'm assuming you have premium....and you've forgotten what it's like to have a dumping limit per day, hmmm? It's definitely rough for the newcomers, since that was a custom item they could get fairly easily.
I'm glad I joined a while ago. I wouldn't want to be joining right now. :S

;w; I had just opened a shop in which I was giving away free tokens with the purchase of token pet designs, too. I don't think I can afford to do so anymore, or I'll have to seriously raise the price, and part of why I was so happy to have said shop was being able to offer some of the most affordable customs on the market.
I am totally cool with Gold Tokens at this price, but staggering the amount of price jumps as some people have mentioned would be amazing. Like, maybe take Metals down to 1000 or 1200 or something; Bronze like 3000-3500; Blues like 7000; and Gold as-is? ;-; That keeps the high edits hard to get but lets metals stay really obtainable and.. just, yeah. This makes me really sad.

I don't blame new people for quiting... I am now unsure I want to stick around either. I do really well, but thats because tokens are low priced for newer players, and I can get people to buy my premades of them, either in my shop or via making them and selling them in my main shop. Now... all thats out the window. I'm just a semi good colorest. No ones going to pay or work for THAT much for one of my stupid designs. So now I can hardly make money, save for whats adventure and shop. Which is ...yeah I can see why people quit aywas. Its not fun anymore. All you guys do is raise prices on things astronomically lately. Its making aywas a bad place to be. Its just not worth it anymore.

For people without premium (even those of us older players who can't afford it and just play casually here) these WERE the custom items we could afford to get. The dumping limit makes this EXTREMELY hard to get and you've all but shut out new players from getting their first custom from generous players without premium.
Staggered price hikes would have been better or even a 3x bump. Or as others said discount items in stores for a while to get people *buying* things to get the BP and GP out of the system. I'm not spending right now unless I have too, I can only imagine a lot of folks are doing similar.

Agreeing with the other comments. Too many income cuts and price hikes are happening at once and it's extremely discouraging. I'm looking at the price of tokens now and even with my considerable mountain of trash points, it just doesn't seem like it's worth it anymore. Sooner or later, I'm going to have to consider the site as a whole and ask, "Is it worth it to spend my time here?" and at this rate, the answer's going to soon be "No".

Oddly enough, I found myself thinking earlier to day about if you guys would up the price on the tokens or not. XD

No one's been selling gp since the cd's stopped giving interest either.

In real life, this would be a total pandemonium. I'll not comment anything now, because my grandma always told me to never discuss or write a letter when we are angry.

I don't think new players need access to 75% edited customs right when they join the site (not that many newbies submit those anyway, it's mostly just established users using them to have almost-Silvers at next to no cost). Nor do I think newbies need to have custom items immediately upon joining--at least 90% of the rule violating customs (copyright infringement, cut and pasting, customs stolen from other users, random pictures of dogs from other pet sites and Deviantart squished into a 200x200 image, MS paint edits on Metals saved as a JPG and submitted with a white background, etc) are submitted with Tokens. As it was, it was very easy for someone to just pop into the site, not read ANY of the rules, explore for a bit and get together enough BP for a Token (or get gifted one by an established user), and submit something. Customs shouldn't be so easy to get that people have literally no investment in making sure they're following the rules and making a decent-looking pet that they'll still like 24 hours after submitting it.
Also, keep in mind this is a 5x price increase for items that were being sold for less than 1 GP.

Not sure how a new player can even play this game really.. I spend about 6-8 hours each day trying to make money, shop resells, running though Adv for hours even join premium to try to make it easier..
If i wasnt able to buy GP EACH month i would have quit a long time ago..
The few players i have sent here have all quit..
Not one is willing to play real money or wait Months for a breeding after taking months to get a Coin.. I really like this game but unless you can draw/color its really really hard to do anything..
