You know, maybe also instead of hiking up the price-- find an alternative. Besides the suggestion that someone else made and make like a trade in event like the metal custom orb/crystals, perhaps actually put some other things of actual value in the Trash Shop. Something that you can only get in the trash shop trade in. This way there are other sinks, and its not all going to the tokens. Because lets face it.... the only real perk to trade in trash right now are for the tokens. By offering other spending alternatives, it makes people think twice on what to spend their points on.

If you can come up with items that would be a) of high demand and b) wouldn't wreck the economy or interfere with another existing item/feature, I invite you to suggest them.

Nice to know that everyone who's against this, which is the majority, is getting ignored. There was NO reason to raise the prices this high. Maybe on the gold, but not on the others. Yet the staff is of course, flat out ignoring everyone who's against this. Fine to raise prices a little, but this is going to HURT the aywas, not help. I feel sorry that they can't see that, cause Aywas is going to loose out on new members, old members who will leave or never come cause of things like this. It does not hurt the rich, only the new and the poor. As everyone else has said lots. Of course we are ignored. >> aywas is becoming just like all the other pet sites. And it was special..and different once upon a time. Those good days are over.

I have to throw in a couple more cents before I finally decide that this isn't worth it anymore, particularly to everyone who is complaining about getting ignored. You're not being ignored. People are reading your posts, but they also know that it isn't worth it to say anything when all you'll do is continue complaining and running around in circles.


The prices are raised. It's done. Maybe instead of moaning and groaning about it, you can accept that that's how it is, and you can work on getting over it. It's just like your parents setting rules. Don't like it... Tough. The staff run this site, just like your parents/guardians run the house. If you're going to do nothing but waste your time complaining about it over... and over... and over, then just get up and leave. No one is ignoring you, they just know better than to even try to speak reasonably with someone who is so dead set in what they believe that they won't listen to anyone else.


Now for god's sake, can we stop the moping and griping and just get on with our lives? It's done. Get a life, and get over it.

You know, Dr Freeman, I could. But my job really doesn't run in providing economic solutions for the site. Even so, with current events that have recently happened, I'm not even entirely certain that it will actually be taken into seriousness. Quite frankly, that would be a waste of my time. However, I would be open up for discussion and brainstorming on it should it become a more possible solution.

Ianto Jones, but those of us who are "complaining" are listening. Well, some of us, at least. We are listening to you who say everything is just fine, and what we want is to compromise. Come up with a solution. We are a community after all, staff included. Many have suggested great ideas, but so far, only one ides has actually been acknowledged, where there are lots of other, in all honesty, better solutions, that are being ignored and not even being talked over by both sides. That is what we want, but then we are called "crybabies" and "whiners" and other such names when we just want a good, non-offensive discussion. No, I am not talking about all of the people opposed to the price jumps, just some of us, like myself.


Now, to Skitty/Dr. Freeman, you want an idea for Trys suggestion? How about putting a potion in there. Something that changes your pet into a new pet. and the new pets from the potions could be Trash shop exclusives. I know it's been done before with events, but it is a thought. Because, in all honesty, I'm okay with the gold token price, just not the metal. So if something like a new, semi-permanent or permanent potion for new pet colorations or something would lower the price of, at least, the metal token, I'd be really happy. Plus, I love collecting new site pets, as I know others do as well.

Or, maybe instead of a potion for pets, how about an openable item that would give you a random item, but like, somewhere between 1%-10% (you can decide that) chance of getting a really cool item, so that way most of the time, people would get the non-super cool item, but because there IS that possibility, people will keep trying and keep trying and keep trying!

ONE more solution that may not be read - Um if you don't want tokens being sold for 1gp, why not make tokens linked to our user names like SP so we can't sell them? Ok that probably would be a horrible idea, cause then we could not give them away. But we could still give desgins away, right? Yeah still stupid but still, we are trying. GIVE US SOME CREDIT SKITTY. We are trying to change your mind to get a workable solution for everyone, but your not listening. Your probably to busy to read the ideas out of mix of complaning and suck up to aywas post. Anyways I has a idea. WHY does someone who has the time and the willpower, go through all this, post all ideas in a thread post in suggestions, so skitty can go read it there, without reading the rest of the stuff? I wold, but its almost 12, I have to get up at 10, and I'm going to be going camping till sat. ITS A 100 DEGREES~ AND 64+ AT NIGHT~ its insane for where I live. (WA) I love it though.

Also I wish to say this. You, Skitty, may think its about the money, selling tokens. selling token desgins. And yeah it is in part, but its SO MUCH MORE THEN THAT for some of us. If you GO to the pet design thread, most people sell crystal/orb species. Most of the people who are selling tokens are those who love the species, those who get random ideas for them..and the artists who are not as good as the amazing professionals standard artists. DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH it means to people like that, to have people LIKE their art? To buy it..and make it..and love it? It means the world to us. I don't know about the rest of them, but for me..I gave up drawing cause I never could get good enough ...everyone ignored me on all the art sites like I was nothing. It hurt so much..thats why I gave up. Then I come here.. and tokens happen...and I finally can do art, that people notice and love. Maybe only some people, but its usually enough for me. And with tokens this insane price, thats all been taken away from me. All other custom items are to expensive. I know people think I'm a whinny baby, but this is more then money or attention...its about love and people noticing I exist, that I'm at least a little good. And you've taken that away from me.. its fine if gold tokens cost whatever. But please please please, at least put blue/bronze a little down, and metal a lot. Otherwise this site...will just make me feel as worthless as the art sites and I'll just give up again. Because no matter how hard I try, I never can be really really good...I just want to be a little good and have people buy my art and love it.
