It's time to usher in August with new seasonal goodies!
We'll start off the new month with a colorful parade of August-themed pets to add to your collections!
Let's start off with 9 pretty pets that celebrate everything from swimming to flying!
They're waiting for you in the GP Shop. :3
And here comes another troop of 9 lovely pets from the bottom of the sea to the dessert table!
You can find them in the BP Shop.
If you colored one of these stunning pets, please contact Visark (#185) for your payment!
You get the payment that corresponds to the contest you entered.
Make sure to send the PSDs for these pets in to [email protected] right away! Or I will melt your crayons.
Made from peridot found right here in Ay, this lovely potion is the Essence of August 2012.
It will randomly change your active pet into one of the colors above and can be found in the GP Shop!
On its way to Ay, it seems that our monthly Lunaris got into a bit of a brawl with a rival Ippo.
He needs to brush off his stars and fix his mane, so he'll be fashionably late, but you can take home his rival if you swing by Trash for Treasure!
The Zodiac Leo Ippo will only be hanging around for this month!
The premium monthly item for August is a quaint little Picnic Basket that you might find will be a big help in Adventure!
By using the Picnic Basket, you will unlock a "picnic" feature on your account. What you will then be able to do is move food items into the basket from your inventory and have them right at your fingertips on the Adventure screen! Your Picnic Basket is quite magical in the sense that there is no limit to how much food you can fill it with. Here's a little visual demonstration of what happens after you unlock the feature (by first going to your inventory and clicking Use):
There are a couple things we still need to tweak with Picnic Baskets, including adding a removal food option and fixing the issue with closing the pop-up window (you just have to click Close twice). But Yasu did an AWESOME job on making this request come to life. For something so small, it's very complicated.
Just to clarify, yes, you can add large quantities of one item to your basket at once, and you can also mass-feed your pet through the basket as well. :) We hope you guys enjoy this convenience!

What else do we have going on this month?
You can look forward to a new spin on the Vampires vs. Zombies event, Rewind Paleo Day, a mysterious region opening mid-month, contest results and new pet contests (like for the next Raw!), tutorial revamps, and more!
Yasu and I are going to try and keep our pace going with fixes, implementing suggestions, expanding features, and of course further integrating Adventure! If everything goes well, we will then be able to move forward with gardening/farming! I'm getting a little ahead of myself there, but that's the plan. XD

Small question about the picnic basket. Can we safely put regenerating items like cornucopias in it (will they keep regenerating) is pretty much the question ^_^

I want to know about regenning too. Also- will the regenning items regen in the picnic basket (If so I love you guys- heck I love you anyway but ffffff this is going to make replenishing energy from my ipod so much simpler XD
