I think that it's cute little critter, but the face on it does not match the rest of the official aywas pets. Even things that don't typically have a face (such as a sea slug) were adapated to work with the Aywas style and were creative, 3-dimensional things.
The happy smile face looks flat. I see this face pasted on animals, cupcakes, and "Kawaii" things quite a bit. These things are always cute, but they all end up looking very much the same.
Aywas is well-known for its beautiful artwork. I feel that this pet (though cute and well-drawn) is something of a step backward.
Just my two cents. You guys do a great job. Thank you for the regular updates and a wonderful site.

I do too.
I feel that cute is good, but the fact its cute does not out match the fact this is being made into a new species.
If this is going to fit other creatures will have to be made with simular flat faces and this will meen more and more weird and flat smile faced creatures will be turning up.
This creature is becoming a real species and will be so forever if this is done.
Can anyone ever want to see something like this compared to other creatures?
Chromo, Melo, Phanto, Insi, but then this.
I feel let down also, as it would have made an awsome scrible day custom PSD, but this is not a real aywas pet.

I don't get the complaints either, but to each their own :P
(If your issue is solely with the face, couldn't you change it with a crystal? Or... get rid of it?)

Well the crystal allows edits up to 50% so I'm pretty sure people will be able to edit the face and even more to their liking. :3

I'm sorry but these are just getting worse and worse each time :/ I appreciate that people want diversity with species but this just doesn't fit in at all, there's no depth to it and frankly if pets continue to be produced along these lines I won't be hanging around to see this place go from a mature pet site to the next Neopets. This is no slur on the artist as the work is lovely - it's just like trying to force the wrong piece into a Jigsaw puzzle, its never going to fit.

interesting idea.... I just wish it.. fit with the rest of the site.
