The almighty breeding hierarchy...!

Rules

Hello folks! Since for awhile now there's been confusion as to who to contact for certain breeding-related issues (and the fact that not everyone knows there's other folks you can ask specific questions to) I wanted to post a reminder about the established breeding hierarchy and who you can go to for questions...

------------------------------------

Frey (#90): That's me! Basically I handle overseeing the entire system -- the manager, so to speak. I do a number of things that include, but are not limited to:

- Assigning breeding lists, specifically BC/LBC and any other inclusive coins to those. Meaning I don't explicitly handle RBC or MBC.

- Paying artists, both contract and GP, as well as handling incentives.

- Updating the Mistakes board with responses and sending out assignments to our Mistake Mod(s) for fixes.

- Responding to artist applications and hiring new team members.

- Cancelling/fixing breeding submission errors.

- Answering general questions about the breeding system. PLEASE NOTE this means if there's a designated person to go to, message them first! This also means I take any suggestions/concerns/constructive criticism in my inbox as well. I take PMs and emails at [email protected].

------------------------------------

Mauri (and Kyu) (#1010): Mauri is the lady in this account that is basically my assistant-manager. She oversees the Predicts queue as well as helps with other aspects of breeding. Some of her responsibilities are as follows:

- User Predictions. Any general questions about user predictions can go to her. She also oversees any BC-related predicts.

- Clarification for any rejection notices or prediction rules.

- User requested rejections.

- Concerns or praise regarding the user prediction helpers.

- Training regarding predict-helpers.

_ RBC assignments and invoicing for all RBC artists.

- Kyu specifically helps with breeding mistake uploads as they're sent to her/posted on the Mistakes board.

------------------------------------

Zephy (#215): Consider her one of my main supervisors. Zephy handles the MBC portion of the queue as well as MBC predicts, in specific. She can also answer any predict-questions. To detail more:

- Assigns and invoices MBC breedings and payments.

- MBC predict processing and training, as well as MBC related predict questions.

- Clarification for any rejection notices or prediction rules.

- User requested rejections.

------------------------------------

The rest of our predict helpers are as follows, and you can go to them for questions as well!

Darsh (#43): Wrangles LBC predicts, as well as any questions regarding LBC predicts, rejection notices, or user requested rejections.

JOHNNY (#1705): Another MBC predict acceptor, can answer MBC predict related questions.

Eveglori (#2775): In-training predict acceptor. Can be asked for MBC.

Daffu (#81): In-training predict acceptor. Can be asked for LBC.

------------------------------------

Last but not least...

Kazna (#233): Breeding mistake-fixer!

------------------------------------

Please note, some things you can do to make all of our jobs easier when it comes to breeding questions...

I. First and foremost, do not message any other admin about breeding-related questions! I have to stress this since all it will do is require that admin to forward you to my department, meaning time spent that could easily be saved if you message a proper person.

II. If you think your breeding has a mistake, don't PM, post! The Mistakes Thread is available for that reason, and even if you're unsure, read the rules there and still post if you think it needs to be reviewed.

III. If you want PSDs from your breedings, check for the artist of your breeding in the proper forums! You can look through the Breeding Artist Blogs thread, or even post in Breeding Chat itself searching for the artist.

IV. Message the appropriate person for predict questions! Not everyone works on the same coin so you can see above who works on what. It's easier to get an answer if proper persons are utilized.

V. Bump your messages after one week of no responses (not daily, not after three days -- seven, please!). Specifically, Mauri and I get a lot of messages that can be skipped over due to high volume, but the one week rule is pretty good for a reminder.

------------------------------------

If anything else comes up I'll be sure to address it publicly, but hopefully the above helps with some things. If there are any other questions too, please just remember the above!

Please don't feel bad for using Breeding MIstakes - it's not meant to put down artists, but ensure that good customer service is delivered. No artist is perfect, and we all get babies posted. It comes with the job; just remember to phrase your comments neutrally and it all works out. (Note: Neutral = not sugar coated and not bashing. Just state things plainly. )

that was VERY informative...almost too much, for a greenhorn like me, lol. i presently have two breeding up (my first), an LBC for two alt Lacers, and a BC for a (hopefully) hybrid Gael/Melo pairing. they were filed in January...i have a PSD for the Melo (the Gael is a site species), and am looking for the Lacer PSDs in case they are needed. i did not do predicts, i'm not that savvy yet. i have no idea how long is a reasonable amount of waiting time on a breeding, and what - if anything - i should do about supplying information. is this a case of PMing someone? posting to a forum? waiting gracefully?

Thanks for clarifying. I have to agree that making this easily accessible would help.

You might want to ask on the forum for the lacer psd as the original artist may have a copy of it. If it's site bred, they probably have it.

LBC and BC is backed up to like, jan, so you might be getting yours soon. Atm average wait time is like 6 months for BC. Either way, it's months waiting for a breeding.
