Price Update...

Site Update

A short announcement to state that MBCs and RBCs have received a small price-hike to hopefully combat inflation. There's something to be said when a coin is only 3-4 GP, that's far too little even for these two!

Yes, this will inevitably cause upset, but the RBC & MBC queues combined almost equal the BC and LBC ones (GP coins!). Meaning that with the site growing that we need to raise prices to equalize with the amount being bought. We're not trying to make it impossible to earn things, but there's a LOT of BP out there and more and more geodes... so we have to make the coins worth their intended value.

Thank you for the understanding.

If you're displeased with your quality of breedings feel free to post a suggestion or let me know personally, but I will say that I haven't seen a ton of complaints about quality, so I think my staff are doing well. And this isn't punishing users. If you want me to scale back prices and let 100 coins in per week, then people need to be ready to wait a year for their breedings to come back.

I think the downward spiral of quality comment might stem from...peoples...designs? :x idk just sayin'

Maybe hire more people for the breeding team? I don't know how many people currently run it, but with the site's population growing all the time, there will naturally be more breedings? -shrugs- --Yuuki.

I think players should get what they pay for, if there are price hikes in the coins, then yes like Rabbit Talon said, there needs to be better quality in the babies that come out. I think if we could have a little bit more of our own predicts done again, it would be better.
Perhaps some of the artists who make the babies could have like a twice yearly review? Maybe get pointers if they're the less used artists?
Perhaps, some kind of alternative to the MBC, where people can try their first breedings with? But, maybe they submit the art?

Which reminds me, Eri hasn't said anything about the artist applications we sent in, in March. Someone told me that Eri would likely make a news post so. I'm still hoping she does. I applied and would love to make pretty babies. Plus, I'm curious to see how many artists get added on.
My ramblings.

I've said a looot of times that I can't just make people appear to work on breedings. I do have a quality, and a standard, and I've hired those that I feel are on that quality or can learn/get there. But if there's 20, 30, 40, or more volunteers out there that have the skills then apply. I am ALWAYS hiring.

Ah breeding babies. Some of the 'quality issues' might stem from the fact that a lot of the site pets that are bred do not have their psds which I've been told is COMMON KNOWLEDGE. Which...to me, wasn't common knowledge and its not mentioned anywhere in the breeding tutorial (hint hint). If it doesn't have a psd, of course the quality will be horrible.

Its not like one can complain about breedings. Sometimes you get good ones, sometimes you don't get as good ones. Unless there is some blatent flaw.. nothing you can do with the ones that are not as good as others >_>' And I know there are issues with psds and no psds and stuff to.. /sigh/ I don't really complain, I"m just kinda ticked that once more, breedings made harder an dharder, just cause more people come to this site. ;.; And You already raised the prices of rbc and mbc in the past few months Yet another rate hike, just makes it so only the rich can do breedings. x.x some of us can't keep up with all this bp sinks and price hikes. I wish that aywas looked at that point of view, and not of the one of the rich. Not all of us are blindblowing artists who can make a billion GP and BP a week.

Eri doesn't handle breeding artist applications? I'm not sure where that comes from. I've gotten both complaints for not answering fast enough, but at the same time for giving 'automated responses' for reject and not catering to each individual to give them personalized critique. It's just not feasible with how many apps I get now.

Billion bp and gp a week lol that's a bit of an exaggeration :P anyway...the bp sinks aren't meant for the every day users. They're meant for the 'rich' players that hoard their bp. It gives them a reason to spend it, and others a reason to sell gp for bp. The MBC price hike aside, the recent 'bp sinks' were meant as an attempt to stabilize gp prices and increase the value of bp.
