Site Update
A short announcement to state that MBCs and RBCs have received a small price-hike to hopefully combat inflation. There's something to be said when a coin is only 3-4 GP, that's far too little even for these two!
Yes, this will inevitably cause upset, but the RBC & MBC queues combined almost equal the BC and LBC ones (GP coins!). Meaning that with the site growing that we need to raise prices to equalize with the amount being bought. We're not trying to make it impossible to earn things, but there's a LOT of BP out there and more and more geodes... so we have to make the coins worth their intended value.
Thank you for the understanding.

My two BP: If the queue is monstrous, then this is the best way to go about it. With fewer breeding items on the market, you'll be quicker to get your babies. I haven't tried any breeding, but I had a friend who did and might still be waiting for the babies that came out. I just know she had been waiting for four months last I checked and that was a while ago. They're trying to make sure the breeding queue isn't five miles long, and help people who are already waiting. They're trying to keep everything in balance, which has been thrown off thanks to the greedy people. So before you complain, keep in mind they are trying their hardest to help YOU by keeping things balanced.
My three BP.

This is really the only problem I personally have with Aywas...the prices are just too high for me to afford putting money down on anything regarding customs or breeding, which is a real shame because that's the interesting part of it, really.. In other games I find that lowering the price to something reasonable actually allows more people the change to buy things, and with more people willing to lay down money for it, you get more money, because as said, more people would be willing to put forth the effort to buy it. I really don't see how increasing the price of something would make more people want to buy it, sadly...it's like clothes. You wouldn't lay $50 down on a pair of gaucho pants that are no longer in style. If you say there is an influx of people, then to me it'd make sense to actually lower the price...not raise it. But I could be reading it entirely wrong...

Skitty its just that the recent actions of the staff are too much. You made a BP sink of over 1.5 billion BP within a month. It caused GP to deflate from 500-600k BP to 300-400k BP. Thats a 50% decrease, now on top of it you guys doubled the prices of these two items that are based on a BP price (Geodes are sold for BP). This causes that these items are suddenly 1*1.5*2=3 times more expensive.
And giving out Geodes as a premium item and then complaining of the massive amount of geodes people are hoarding a day later is just plain weird. You are destroying the economy this way, not fixing it.
So in the end you made a huge BP sink (although not needed because most of the BP was coming from like 6 botting users you had just banned) and then decided to inflate GP again by making BP less usefull. It really doesn't make sense to me.

WhiteKatsu (#27071) said: "this is the best way to go about it." I would like to strongly disagree with that, as well as the general attitude I see in that line. They could instead pay artists a reasonable amount, more proportionate to what the artist could otherwise earn, encouraging decent artists to join for a reason other than the pure fun of being an Aywas artist. Not knocking artists or saying it is totally not worth being a breeding artist here, but on pay alone it is NOT.

It is true, but it will take too long for me to get that much... is it possible to make the rate of getting BP a little higher? D; I feel so poor... I should start making CD's.

As much as I love aywas I agree with a lot of the others that a lot of things are hard to come by I'd love to have some customs but just simply getting them design costs even more RL money then to breed them costs even more GP things are just so expensive. I do love this site but I wish things would get a little more affordable. Or maybe a little easier for new people to get BP as I have a real hard time getting it. I missed out on 1/2 the egg painter pets and now I am sure I will miss out on the new spring/Easter pets because of a lack of BP. I hate having to miss out on pets simply because I lack the funds to purchase them.

Guys... you do realize that this is the EXACT OPPOSITE of what sites like Gaia/Neopets/Wajas do, right? They're in that situation because they NEVER stepped in and adjusted the economy when prices started getting out of control or when problems arose. If this were Neopets, the admins would be sitting back and letting BP/GP ratios spiral out of control. The idea is to have goals be reachable through hard work. Emphasis on the work part. They should be reasonably priced enough that the average person can reach them with a few days/weeks/months (depending on the goal) of saving.
However, letting things be excessively cheap also makes the economy sick. That's pretty much what you're seeing with BP devaluation--Custom Orbs used to be one of the "big ticket" BP items, but too many Orbs were given out through giveaways and events, so now nobody wants to buy them from the BP shop anymore. Hence, low demand for BP, higher demand for GP, leading to the skewed ratios you all know and hate.
