If you haven't already heard of Kony 2012...
This video is trying to publicize the horrific actions of Joseph Kony, who abducts children and forces them to be child soldiers. The goal of the campaign is to have Joseph Kony arrested.
I think it is important. Please watch the video.

I agree with Jeweled & OskeArmyUK (#557) on this matter, it is not necessary to spend the money to spread the word and maybe at some point the word will reach someone who can actually DO something about this.

There has been some opposition to what Invisible Children is doing and explanations as to why, and I think it's good to read the other side of the issue because while this video is spreading awareness that's not all there is to it!!

Filmed in 2003. Published in 2006. Kony is on the run from several courts who want him brought to justice. Meanwhile, IC is under investigation for fraud. Relevance and context is important. -nmd

This thing HAS been trying to become popular for years. The fact it was made so long ago doesn't mean all that much. We all know that some weird things start trending online - something like this can fall by the wayside while a video of a cat meowing can get over 20 million views.
It's not even really about giving your money, it's about knowing. I had no idea who Joseph Kony was before seeing this on Aywas just now. Even if you don't spend a thing, word of mouth is one of the most powerful tools there is and the internet is the biggest and loudest mouth there is.
Even if I don't support a specific organization, I support stopping Joseph Kony.
