The art gallery has been judged!
The theme was Valentine's Day and we had a lot of fun, varied entries, but what really won me over were the lively portrayals. Lots of personality this week! :3 Thanks for all the great submissions! Here are our winners this week:

I also added some new themes to the Art Gallery page so you can plan your upcoming submission strategies accordingly.

Explore Pets
Mauri has a little something extra planned for her usual weekend pet release, so she's moved this week's release to tomorrow. I know I'm looking forward to that!
Ara Release
Slash and I reworked how we're going to release the Ara regions so that things flow more smoothly and make sense. Originally, one location was going to open every month until they were all open, but because that would be a little too overwhelming and we want to focus more on getting Adventure to work properly, we're tentatively setting the regions to open once every three months. That'll give us more time for pet/item and user submission prep, and hopefully we'll have the bugs worked out by then. So right now we're going to prepare for a new Ara region release in April!

I fully support delaying Ara stuff in favor of working on streamlining what's already in play! I love Ara (Go RYBAS!) but I'd love it even more if battling wasn't so tedious (click...click...click...click...) and if I could actually level up my preferred pets in any reasonable time frame!

I'm also anxious for the new explore pet update since I, myself, submitted a pet to be accepted. I was wondering why no updates had been made, so that relieved me some. Thanks! ^_^

All sounds great to me! Totally unrelated question, but will the winner of the Space Marine story contest be announced? :3 I'm itching with curiosity and don't want to be waiting for something that's not coming. XD

So we voted to not do Jan Scav so we can get monthly release, and now they will be released every three months?
Agree. I'm a little disappointing. In a way, I can understand why it would be a difficult to release one every month. Still, can't we have a better comprimise like, perhaps, every 2 months?

I'm excited about Ara regions, but slow, more bug free releases are always much better, in my opinion. Thank you for the update!
