Belsnickel

Items

Have you been good this year? According to the German tradition of Belsnickel, if you've been good all year -- meaning, you'll get presents -- Belsnickel will put a bell on your headboard while you're sleeping one week before Christmas.

December 18th is one week before Christmas... visit the Belsnickel page every two hours on the 18th to collect bells.

If you collect all seven, you can turn them in on Christmas into the Collections feature for a prize. (:

I'm kind of sad at how some of these things are going. First the Tiny Giftbox, in which only one person, the one who started the thread, has come forward in that thread with the holiday breeding pendant after hundreds of boxes being opened, and now this event, where only a small percent of aywas will get to complete their collection at this rate. But at least there's the other things going on which are good, and hopefully better events to look forward to.

Now, you can sell the incomplete sets! =3 And as soon as the last one's gone, Aywas will suddenly announce that each and every bell is SPECIAL, and you can tear your hair out for selling them!

I got all seven bells plus some extras that I will either sell or gift away. I had to sleep and work and still managed to get on enough to get 10 bells.

It is just a game and you can't expect for those that run it to just give away everything. If they did then what would the use of having contests or specials or any of that stuff. It was possible to get all the bells. If it was easy for every person to get every bell then what would be the use of having a special rare prize. If you did not get the bells you needed then buy them or just suck it up and move on. If you can't afford to buy the bells you need suck it up and move on. Sheesh people I'm just happy that the people who run this site are trying to make things more fun here whether I get every single rare holiday gift or not.

lol all i'm saying it this. people can say it was easy, but alot of people on here have jobs and can't get on until after they get off work. life does get in the way sometimes, and those who couldn't be on all day to have a chance for the bells, can't afford to pay 20 gp for them. I personally think selling them like that is wrong expectly since they didn't buy the bells to begin with. i put the extra's i had in my shop for 1bp because i don't run through the forums to find people who wants one. but there's two sides to this. those who have all the bells and those of us who don't. instead of telling us to suck it up, please realize that if you were one of us, you might feel the same way. it's not about us not getting the prize, i personally do not care. It's about having a fair chance to get them all. i understand slash extended the time once, and I'm glad he ran the event. It was fun to be able to trade and talk to those who had the bells. But the thing is, like what's happening now. People are going to fight and get greedy and cruel about who has them all and who does not. What's the point in HAVING the event if it isn't fun to everyone? this isn't what Christmas should be about =/ it's about joy and giving and seeing others happy, not "what can i get for myself today??' just a little reminder. I might be in the wrong in alot of things, but i know that i'd rather not have any bells, than sit here and argue about them during this close to christmas.

Well I have a RL job and I have to sleep but I still managed to get all the bells. I get up at 7am EST go to work at 8am work till 3pm. I get lunch from 12pm to 1pm. I get home at 3:30pm, keep my nieces from 3:45pm till 5pm then go to bed between 12am and 1am. That is a pretty full day yet I still managed to get all the bells needed.
I see this event like I look at the scratch cards I have only been on here since Aug, and get 1 scratch card a day and still have not won once. So is it fun for me to spend my money on a scratch card every day and not receive anything for it no but I chose to spend my time and money on it every day in the hopes I get something. I don't complain when I don't win and someone else out there managed to will 2mil. It is random chance. It was random chance what bell you got at any given time. Also it is just a game and what ever the prize is it is just pixels has no RL value and never will.

yeah and alot of people were getting duplicates. You just got really lucky in managing to get all the bells. i was on most of the day, and i just got a bunch of the same bell over and over. It's a game of chance, and those who are being rude to the ones who didn't manage to get the bells and are upset need to stop, take a breath, and imagine themselves in the other person's shoes. i see way too much of this happen and it takes the fun out of pretty much every event that's held (not the fact that not everyone was able to get the bells, but the way people are treating eachother over these events).

again i'm not complaining. I simply ask that instead of telling us to suck it up that you realize that your lucky enough to have all the bells. but i'm not going to waiste my time arguing with you =3 it's christmas, and I have more important things to do. It was never about not getting all the bells. it's those who have them all understanding that it's not simple for some of us to just buy them with GP. Money is money, and instead of as i said, telling us to suck it up. Like Nev said, put yourself in our shoes. But i'm done with this ^^ it's silly to fight over immature things, and it's not what christmas is about. God Bless =3 i hope you get something really cool!!

I just get tired of hearing people complain about not having the time, not getting the bells they want, or the price of the bells that they need. Just be happy they had the event, which they did not have to do, and realize it was a game of chance event. Like I said I can see where the people that did not get all the bells feel, just as I feel about not wining anything from the scratch cards. But, I'm mature enough to realize that the scratch cards are a game of chance to and not everyone can win the 2mil jackpot. It is the same with the bells not everyone could get all of them and as for the prices, it is a game of supply and demand. With a low supply of certain bells and a high demand prices go up. It is up to those that are selling their extras to set the prices. I'm not arguing about this but I'm simply trying to point out certain things. If Aywas made all the bells easy to get why have an event at all, why not just give everyone the special prize. Of course then there would be those complaining about the point of getting a special prize if everyone got it. It would not be very special then would it. Those that run this site and set up these events do not have to do anything special for the holidays they could simply spend there time doing RL stuff with family and friends but they took time out of their schedule to do something nice for the users of this site and 80% of the feedback they get is people complaining about not being able to get what they want. To me that is rude and not going with the spirit of the season. Forgive me if I came across as being rude or argumentative. *~* I just use Aywas as a getaway from all the crap of my life and to have fun and people complaining about not getting what they want on a site like this rubs me the wrong way when I there is enough to complain about in RL due to the economy and so many people (me included) might not have a place to live after the first of the year and are losing everything they have worked so hard for and can barely afford to give just one present to there family members or make the food bill for the month. Compared to all that complaining about not getting what you want here is just crappy. Again if I came across rude or argumentative please forgive me.
